Take away all the staging and you have a boring forgettable song sung by a teenager who is attractive but dull. That song is a dirge, the British public must see through it

She sung it well, and she did try to perform, but my main issue is that every non joke act on the night was sabotaged to make her seem better than she actually was.

Last night just seemed like an exercise in making Louisa and Reggie and Bollie look amazing compared to all the acts that came before them.

Although giving Louisa these boring dirges to sing every week may not be doing her that many favours.

I thought it was amazing. But then again, it could just have been that the rest were truly awful. Anyways I reckon she'll be topping this weeks votes for sure.

The girl can sing but they've stripped every bit of what made her audition special out of her and turned her into another dull, dated, cruise ship act churning out dire dirges without a spark of originality

FGS, the girl is 17 (though they don't like to mention it) let her be young and fresh and current rather than Sam Bailey Jr

Couldn't have put it better myself. Dont even get me started on the outfit they had her in!

She's incredibly dull, nothing much more to say about her.

When she sings uptempo lines in the group song you can see she enjoys it more.

There has few times she has suggested up tempo songs but they have been quickly knocked on the head.

My theory being they are so desperate for a female to win, that they are putting out the dirges as they think the remaining voters will vote for this stuff as opposed to anymore more suitable .

Similarly with Laurens Whitney, Mariah routine

They have wasted Louisa's potential.

As they have done with Lauren, 4th Impact, Monica, Mason, Che, Seann and basically everyone this year with the possible exception of Reggie/Bollie.

Louisa has great vocals, but I would like to see her do an up-tempo number and do some dancing as she seems to be giving samey peformances every week - I think it's time Rita took note.

Great Voice. Doesn't fully understand how to use it yet though.

But at her age that is understandable. The show used to be about growth and learning those things as it went. That should be happening for her but isnt. Endless slow dirges as song choices and vocal coaches not doing their jobs properly are responsible for that.

I think the last time we actually saw an act develop through the show was Little Mix.

According to this thread so far, I seem to be the only one who loved her performance....!

Although I do seem to love those slow piano depression inducing songs....

Now that my favourite Sean has gone, I'm definitely hoping she'll go far, but I'm fearing the joke act of those two blokes will be in it as well....

Yes, spot on! I feel sorry for other contestants, who lost their voice in the mix

I've never quite understood the obsession for making singers dance - after all, the most successful singer at the moment is not exactly known for her moves on the dance floor.

I'd much rather hearing someone stand there and sing than have someone prancing around on stage miming.

In my opinion Louisa has won every round so far and look forward to seeing the voting figures in due course.

Totally wrong. Its that type of music that the British public actually enjoy. It's what teenagers enjoy and they make up a lot of the paying public. James Bay, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, John Legend all sing that type of music and how successful are they.

Louisa has by far and away the most commercial voice and look. She is the producers choice.

Spot on. I agree with your first comment. I think it may be age, Louisa is all technique but very little feel for the songs. That sounds like she has had some vocal coaching but she hasn't listened to a lot of music properly.

Yes, Little Mix had to develop and they have developed since winning as well. So there is hope for Louisa.

I thought she was really good but it also really seemed like cheating. Why is she allowed to perform from the audience, with dry ice, and a choir of people in white around her to boost how good the song sounds?

Some competition this is if one act is allowed to perform like that while everyone else has to stand on the main stage. If she's really that good, why don' they let her perform the same way as everyone else and just get by on her own merits? As it is I don't care how good she is, I'm going off her due to her unfair treatment. It's obvious the producers of the show or Simon Cowell want her to win because they want to give her a record deal over any of the others.

Fair enough if she's got the talent but at least try and make it like a fair competition. Some of those singers need the X Factor to give them a chance, nothing's stopping Cowell just giving this girl a record deal anyway if she's such a talent.

Every act has staging. I certainly wouldn't class this as cheating???
She stood and sang a ballad last week with choir as well, seeing as this is another ballad why not shake it up?
4th Impact came on from backstage, RnB entered from same place as Louisa with an entire carnival and entourage of backing dancers behind them?
I thought it was beautiful and very fitting for the song.

You're going off her because of her unfair treatment?
Well that's very mature of you! I really don't see how she's getting unfair treatment?
You're right, "Cowell" probably does want her to win, yes, and rightfully so, in my opinion, she has the best potential for a successful career in the music industry.

I think this post just reiterates the fact the British Public like an underdog.
This girl is getting branded "boring, dull, getting unfair favouritism, shouty, one trick pony, nothing special".

I think this girl is unbelievably gifted and has carried herself with dignity throughout the entire competition. You can see how much a career in the industry means to her. Her modesty despite constant praise, for such a young age, is also admirable.

I think with the professional assistance given upon bagging a recording contract, along with the right songs, Louisa has the potential for worldwide domination!

As for the one trick pony comments, she has shown she can perform more bouncy tunes during results and the week she performed Billie Jean! She is a young raw talent with so much potential. To me, she's what the show is all about!

When all of the contestants perform on the results, to me, she sticks out as the star amongst the crowd by a country mile.

Unfortunately she's the only act there who will make even a half decent winner (and that's at a push) - so they'll continue to over hype to convince us she's a star and continue to blow hot air up her ass.

I am so glad I find great singers like her and their performances (when they are done well) entertaining and not boring, otherwise I most likely wouldn't even bother to watch this season.

She definitely had a moment there and I didn't had to hear Simon's comment to think that (watched it on youtube first). Let it go for me was not only her best performance so far, in my opinion it was also the best performance of the night AND one of the best vocal performances of the whole season.

Yep. In the live show thread yesterday I said about halfway through that I was getting the feeling all the acts were getting slightly deramped in order to set her up for a much needed standout performance. Granted, I assumed incorrectly that she'd be in the pimp slot but in retrospect it didn't really matter and this way they get to keep the pimp slot ace for next week. They definitely pulled out all the stops.

No doubt next week they'll have her walking on water, healing the sick and posing for an 'impromptu' photo opportunity with just the cutest-wutest little baby you ever did see.

Yeah I agree she's definitekly this years Leona the standout performer. As it's turning out a lot like Leona's season the year Leona won. Ithink we're definitely building up to it. For me Louisa has done great there aref course things she could do better but she's young and has time on her side but I can see with the right management she has the potential to be as big as Leona if not bigger
