I'm really struggling to see how people on this thread are attacking Anton and calling him 'crazy'. His tweet makes perfect sense, and it's nothing new we haven't heard from previous acts who have been badly treated by this mess of a show - only they've spoken out years later.

I'm not even a Anton fan but he has been thrown under the bus several times and he's clearly had enough so is fighting back. It must be pretty tough getting humiliated on live television each week, especially when you've waited so long to get a break like this.

Cowell is a bully and the show is nothing but a giant mind f**k for not only the contestants but the viewers. It's been like this for many years and everybody can see that. I'm only surprised an act hasn't acted like this sooner during the live shows to be honest.

Because he is so volatile at the moment do you think it would be wise this week to eliminate him in a sing off. He is ready to tell all I think, and that is dangerous for the already ailing show. So maybe he will be saved

I think his instability is being pointed out because as a 44 year old man who has been in the music business his whole career you would have thought he'd be able to take this silly show in his stride. Seeing as he can't and is more jittery and teary than any of them his mental state and coping abilities are being questioned.

I personally think he's full of himself and expected a much easier ride and is just reacting like a stroppy kid because he hasn't continually been put on a pedestal. He's a diva but with no real reason to be so.

I think you are totally misjudging him

Sadly he's unlikely to be allowed to tell all - incredibly stringent contracts and Cowell's clout in the media will make it extremely difficult. Clifford may well be behind bars but Cowell still has formidable friends dotted around the biggest media outlets.

And if he somehow manages to get through the media firewall they'll just paint him as completely mental with a few knowing comments and placed leaks and he'll become another joke in the public consciousness like Brookstein.

It's still a better image to have than the three of them setting up the webcam for a *ahem* home movie

I just watched the clip and Cheryl said something similar to Nick about not feeling emotion was real, afterwards Nick said "No offence taken" to Anton, whats the problem?
He seemed quite intense with a stare during the performance to me, maybe he was trying hard to hold things together.

He's not doing himself any favours tweeting that at 3 in the morning. He needs to rise above negative comments if he wants to succeed in the business. Or not go in for this sort of show where you're likely to receive more negative feedback than positive from the public even if you win the show. (Just the way of the world unfortunately)

I think 30seconds on live TV if eliminated will be enough to damage the show. If people bottle stuff up for a long time it will just come out, gagging clause or not. If they don't cut him some slack tonight he could explode. Incidentally is there a time delay?

I don't think it's necessary for singers and actors to *actually* feel the emotions of the songs they sing. They just need to comes across as if they are telling a story that's believable. I sort of like his OTT exaggerated style. It's quite amusing. I mean no-one tells that clown Sheeran to connect with his dull material. And don't get me started on the bland One Direction...

Maybe I heard/read wrong but I thought acts these days couldn't use Twitter whilst on the show and the accounts were managed by the production team? Is that true or something I imagined/made up?

Doesn't appear so
