Has any mentor gave negative feedback to their acts?

Apart from the cop out of 'that was the wrong song for you' (in other words that song just showed me you can't sing in tune)

Has any mentor actually said something negative about their act?

Would people like to see mentors be more honest ?

Simon did sometimes back in the day. He even abandoned and sent home his own act once (The Conway Sisters).

So Simon voted against his act (Conway sisters) in the vote off ?
Were they that bad though ?

I would like to see judges do more of this to be honest

You can probably find it on youtube but they fell out quite badly - can't remember why - and stopped speaking to him in the weeks before they left.
In the VT the night they went, they slagged Simon off and said that Louis was their real mentor so they sealed their own fate.

There had been a backlash against them anyway as Louis saved them against the far superior Maria purely because they were Irish and I think thats when it started to sour between them and Simon

Would be interesting to see if simon would do that against Anton tonight. Would probably be the final nail in the coffin for this show!

Watch to the end where one of the girls thanks Louis for being their mentor. Awkward!

I always felt quite sorry for The Conway Sisters. Simon hung them out to dry after the backlash about Louis sending home Maria.
