My ( very plausible) theory about Pixie Lott's exit being a fix doesn't seem so ridiculous now, does it?
If tonight's debarcle was a fix as so many are suggesting then why would it be so far-fetched if that was too?

Well that's true but a lot believe his punishment was getting duffers for the next 5 years.

Over the years the viewing public have become pretty knowledgeable on the technical requirements of each dance, that's obvious from this forum. Whilst a good performance is a key component, at this stage in the competition, we want to see the celebs nailing the technical aspects of the routine. Peter failed to do that twice with his 'jive' which I suspect Janette had to re-choreograph as he was struggling with it.

The producers need to start respecting the fans of the show & not manipulate the outcome in favour of who they believed would be the star of the series. For me Peter has not been living up to the hype that surrounds him for a number of weeks now, the producers need to deal with that and do the right thing.

Actually Pixie Lott's exit was an example of the dance off working the way it was supposed to -- her dance was the worst so the judges, correctly, saved Simon, just as they should have saved Jamelia and sent Peter off on his last dance!

The way the judges vote after dances and in the DO has always been a bit 'fixy.'

Jamelia's boyfriend has tweeted basically "we know what happened...hmmmmmmm" they're falling over each other to stick the boot in this weekend. Who is going to be next to break ranks?

..and why didn't they apply their usual " who has been better overall through the series" criteria as they always do? After all, the gap in the quality of the dances wasn't great.
Because Pixie had to go to keep her prior arrangement, that's why.
A very obvious piece of manipulation imo, just as much as this week's dance-off was. There's even evidence for it's motive, for goodness sake!

It was my opinion despite the fact that I was rooting for her at the time! She just happened to turn in a poor routine at the same time as being thrown into the dance off with someone who was on a bit more of a roll than her, never mind the logistics of a promotional tour in the offing.

The dance off should be a last resort for saving the immediate better performer of the bottom pair -- anything else makes it a farce, as in the present fiasco!

Maybe a better solution would be for the remaining celebs and their professional partners to have the deciding vote, thus sidestepping the judges/public divide that caused them to be in the dance off in the first place

I'd say that Pixie's dance was marginally the worst, whereas Peter's 'Jive' was blatantly so!

He should probably keep quiet and leave it to Darren Bennett and the rest of us online gossipers though - right now Jamelia's show narrative is of the "waz robbed" variety*, and PDuh's mighty PR machine will already be trawling the net for or anything it can use to rebrand Jamelia as a bitter loser instead.

She, and everyone known to be close to her should continue to be gracious, and let the fire burn brightly - after all, Tristan is already known to be a whistle blower, albeit a charming and diffident one!


*If Jamelia had gone out last week, or under any other circumstances tonight, her story would have gotten stuck on "most dance offs evah".

There may have been reasons Pixie wanted to leave the show. That might have influenced the judges vote. But in the DO Pixie did not dance as well as Simon. So the decision was the correct one.

If she had danced obviously better than Simon but the judges had still chosen him then yes, you would have a point. But that was not the case.

What a fiddle ! very sorry Jamelia, was voted off. Ola was right about the whole strictly scene, no wonder she left.

They should have had more integrity.. awful decision as much as I like Andre and wanted him to do well last night.. Jamelia scooshed it..
