Well said. Couldn't agree more.

I thought their quickstep was excellent. Great partnership, I voted for them a few times over the weeks. Unfortunately couldn't watch live/vote last night as I was out.

I find it a bit odd that she was more often than not on in the first half of the show, thought they'd spread it a bit fairer between the contestants.

Sorry to see Jamelia go as she was one of the more genuine 'celebs' and really do not think she deserved to leave in such a fashion. Panto season begins!

Was impressed by her cheerful graciousness - thank heavens for the lack of 'luviness' in her farewell speech

She improved dramatically from last week. She actually looked like a decent dancer - she had poise and control. The problem is the standard is exceptionally high this year. Jamelia was the only one remaining who showed a clear progression - with this week being a bit of a breakthrough week. All the others have danced to a high standard from almost the beginning. The weakest two now is Peter and Katie. Peter has actually shown some improvement last week and the week before - but this week it was back to "old peter".

I am not her greatest fan, but I have to say WELL DONE to her tonight after the awful way she was made to leave the show. She was miles better than Peter this week and it is an utter disgrace that he was allowed to stay and she was made to go.
Darcy was obviously not happy with her choice as she just held her head in her hands after giving Peter her vote of confidence. What a load of tosh!! This goes to show that even the judges who we thought we could trust each week have their hands tied by the PTB at the BBC. Maybe Len showed his true colours by voting for Jamelia but was he also told to do this to make it seem easer on Jamelia.
Whatever they were told to do or not to do they should all hold their heads in shame.
Who next is on their hit list!!

She's just not a great dancer , which is surprising given her fitness and pop video background . Her training videos were painful to watch and tristan was definitely struggling with her .
But that said she tried her best with what she had and eventually learned to just accept negative critiques and move on . Far removed from her loose women attitude of right at all costs . I have a better opinion of her than I had pre strictly for sure, so I wish her all the best , and maybe she might get asked to do the tour .

I am actually very sad she has gone. However she didn't seem too surprised and took it in her stride. Almost like she knew she was going?

I know it's just a tele show and I shouldn't get worked up about it but I found watching her on the shows so much fun.

I hope this doesn't mean Pandre will get to the final because he is such a huge catch. I am sure they were jumping up and down when they signed him up. His dance this week was truly awful though and he should have gone.

She knew she had outdanced Peter in the dance-off. It's easier to bow out when you know you have been done a disservice by the producers that will be easy to spot by the viewing public.

Jamelia deserved to win her 5th dance off. She will be even more of a Strictly legend now,

Was inclined not to like Peter or Jamelia before the comp started. I changed my mind about one of them .. it wasn't Peter!!!! (He's done the opposite ... set my prejudices in concrete!)

Well done to Jamelia!

Yep. Like we were saying about Natalie Gumede the other day, being a gracious non-winner can be just as good for future prospects as a win (and maybe better, because it's more memorable).

Jamelia, who I had no real opinion of at all prior to SCD, has struck me as genuinely decent human being, who having been employed to do a job has done it to the best of her ability, and has remained sunny and upbeat in a challenging situation (one that would probably have reduced most of her competitors to quivering jellies).
I hope she does well out of this.

Tristan, who again, I hadn't seen enough of to have any particular ideas about (beyond the idle thought that a relaxed Irishman such as he must be incredibly relieved to have transferred to SCD from DWTS, where he can at least be assured of a decent brew) has also come across incredibly well, supporting Jamelia in tons of little tiny ways, from elbow touching, to making distracting quips, to pulling faces at the judges comments (without seeming pouty or entitled, a la Brenda at his worse) to saying exactly the right things in an amusingly diffident manner on ITT.

I'll be genuinely disappointed if he isn't invited back for next season.

I was not keen on Jamelia before the series began -but her attitude etc on the show has changed my opinion of her and I thought she came across well. I see she was thanking Jo Clifton tonight on twitter for all her help - I now expect to see some forum members blaming Jo for her demise from the show

Well done to Jamelia!”

before strictly only knew of her from her singing career , never saw her on loose women ( not my style of programme)
at start thought she was just a big busty loud mouth with a cackle for a laugh
really enjoyed her personality as the weeks went on ,

what a gracious loser and all round good egg !!

"Good egg" is a great way to sum up Jamelia on SCD

She and Jeremy have made the early part of the competition far more enjoyable than usual, for me, anyway.

I think she was a fantastic addition to the character range of contestants. No one else fulfilled the brief of being a mid-to-lower ability, upbeat, humorous female in the 30s age range. Stunning to look at, articulate and able to fully engage with Tess & Claudia and discuss what it was like to be a bit bobbins.

She also had a sparky, vibrant, slightly rambunctious relationship with her partner, bordering on sibling teasing and she was able to take his teasing and their constant dance offs on the chin as well as appreciate his very down-to-earth advice on staying positive.

She shares some of these qualities with Anita, but J&T had a more entertaining and watchable relationship, especially on ITT.

And she's a Brummie- what's not to like?

That could explain her considerable improvement tonight. Jo is a ballroom expert after all and she is very good at explaining to a layperson (as demonstrated on ITT). It was also very nice of her to thank Jo.
It is a great shame that Jamelia has left at what could have been a turning point for her.
She really is the J contestant this year. No she wouldn't have won, but she deserved to stay tonight.

At least Jamelia can be safe in the knowledge that, of the two, she was the better dancer both on Saturday and in the DO.

What I find most impressive is she clearly had it the hardest out of all contestants, the public hated her and she was in the dance off when she didn't deserve to be but every week, no matter what the dance was and whether she liked it or not, came out fighting and gave it her all, must be hard putting so much effort into something for it to be knocked each week when you're in the dance off. She came across graceful & her partnership with Tristan is lovely, especially on ITT. She left on her best dance & although she didn't deserve to lose thst dance off, she probably would of gone next week anyway and she might not of had such a great dance so it's kind of swings and roundabouts. She did herself proud💪🏼

Echo the previous comments on here. Lovely couple, gave it their all every week, and it must have been difficult for her knowing she was the least popular with the public.

She dealt with each dance off by smiling and embracing the opportunity to dance again and to improve specific areas suggested by the judges. You couldn't ask for more from a contestant. I thought she had a great attitude and handled the situation with a lot of dignity and minimal fuss. Obviously encouraged by lots of support and positivity from Tristan.

Great Charleston, fun interviews on ITT and a Quickstep that showed she had genuinely worked hard and learnt a lot throughout the weeks. I'm sad to see her go in a way, even though it was pretty much her time - give or take a week and a controversial Andre Jive-mess.

Well done to both of them and hope they enjoyed every giggle along the way!

I wasn't a fan of Jamelia, having watched her on Loose Women when I was off work, and witnessed some of comments....BUT in SCD, she grew on me. She was remarkably normal, and clearly enjoyed herself. She was also acutely aware that she didn't have the fan base some of the others had, and met every dance off with good grace and humour.

Her sincerity was real, and in the end, I liked her. And I am absolutely delighted for her that Twitter firmly backed her as the better dancer in the dance off.

As for Peter, he has never warranted an opinion from me, he's just....there. But his over gushing acceptance of judges critism, his faux concern for Jamelia again in the dance off and his deliberately crap jokes haven't warmed him to me...he's still just there .

I hope the BBC stop insulting my, and your intelligence, by ignoring the outcry from the licence paying public. I want them to make a statement, if only to deny the fixing accusations. By saying nothing, they're enforcing growing manipulation concerns.

I hadn't thought of that but I absolutely agree with you. Well observed. She did really well from an inauspicious start both on and off the dance floor to last 9 weeks. Good for her. She did improve and did seem to have a journey, both in dance and in terms of self discovery as it were.

I so agree with you. What is the point of the dance off!! I thought the judges were supposed to judge the dance off routine and if there was a good improvement that couple would be saved but it seems last week this was not the case. Peters dance was poor and he did not make any kind of improvement in the dance off, yet Jamella was voted off the show. I know she has been in the dance off four or five times and she is obviously very unpopular with the viewers as nobody seems to be voting for her, but either all that so called advice from the judges means something or it does not!!

Obviously, money speaks. Peter gets a lot of viewers votes each week and Jamellia does not!! Plain and simple. We all know it is fixed, so many celebs have dance training this is rarely mentioned by SCD. Some have even attended dance schools and other contestants are complete real beginners but this is never mentioned by the judges. It is not a level playing field but the contestants know this and only do SCD to improve their profile or revive dying careers!! Better than going into the jungle and eating unmentionable bits and pieces of animals for money!!

Yes she did know she was going out of the competition when she saw the audience asked to repeat their response to Peter Andrea dance and asked this time to give him a standing ovation!! Kind of a hint you are on the way out!!!!! Very unfair and I am not a great fan of Jamellia just hate the unfairness of the whole DO judging.
