Peter was/is the better dancer overall, but Jamelia was better "on the night". As they have never before (as far as i know) taken previous week's dances into consideration, Jamelia should have been saved.
You could see the writing on the wall when Tess claimed there was "nothing in it" before they danced.

Don't you think Len was the lucky one? He's not especially moral. He was just lucky to have the vote that didn't matter.

If there was hardly a difference in quality between the two dances; I would have saved Peter. But it was so clear that Jamelia was so much better. She should have stayed.

There was only two points difference on the leader board to be fair although that was also down to the judges over arming of Peter so you could say there was 'nothing in it'.
In theory if Jamelia had fallen flat on her face and completed her routine on her knees and Peter had done his the same as before it's possible he would have deserved to get through but in the real world he should have been sent home unanimously by all the judges.

No, no, there's no shame in voting for Jamelia. Voting for Peter would have been another matter though...
