It's not the judges or the presenters that was wrong this year. It's the manipulation, the sob stories, the wrong people not making it to the live shows. Seems very staged, obvious and often looks scripted.

There are bound to be some changes for next year and Simon will wheel out the same old rhetoric of how last year didn't feel right, the new panel is so exciting and this year they definitely won't be beaten by Countryfile, sorry Strictly in the ratings.

Have they still not learn that they need Louis Walsh back then?
The idea the show needed new blood wasn't wrong. They just picked horribly. But dragging the discarded rubbish back in is not the solution. |

I don't believe Cheryl isn't coming back.
I don't expect to see Olly back he'll focus on the music and of course he's clearly not enjoying it. Caroline may continue presenting on her own i think. I think Rita and Nick may not come back also. |

Never in a million years thought I would say this but Nick Grimshaw has been really good in this. Next year he and Rita should stay and then they should bring in two feisty people and get rid of Simon and Cheryl and Olly and Flack.
Dermot should refuse point blank to return - he was ace and he didn't deserve quitting to save face because Simon wanted to change the format. |

Spoiler
I don't have a source, but I put it in a spoiler tag like OP did, so it must be true! |

What a load of rubbish!
Plus, Dannii would not return to the show since the ratings are bad. Doubt they would fire Cheryl Cole |

I also don't think Simon would sign off on the Presenting team being changed so fast. I think he's smart enough to know that he has to give the team 2 series before he can ditch them and not have it look like him stabbing them in the back.
Nick is easier to ditch, because you can just play it off as him not having time. With Ollie you'd need to invent a tour, and with Caroline there'd be no excuse at all. Cheryl, if they really wanted to ditch her (and let her laugh all the way to the bank with her co-producer money) is easy too, because she's been through this cycle so often now it's almost expected she'll be ditched at some point. Really the biggest shock I'm expecting? Maybe for Simon HIMSELF to not be back. Why is that a possibility? He's committed to America's Got Talent now, which is deeply entrenched as a late summer into early autumn show, and isn't that when the X-Factor auditions would need to happen? |

Firstly, OP its obvious that you've made that up
here's what I think will happen next year > Olly will be fired but it'll be made out in the press that he just wants to focus on his music career. > They'll try to brink back Dermot but if that fails, keep Caroline as a sole presenter > Melvin and Rochelle will be got rid of from xtra factor > It'll be made out for months that Cheryl faces the boot but she'll return > Rita will probably return unless her next album is a massive success and decides to go on tour > Louis Tomlinson will replace Nick Grimshaw > Louis Walsh will appear at some point [judges house or 5th judge at live shows] > Next year will be the last year |

People were very disparaging about the OP last year but he/she turned out to be very accurate. Maybe they DO have insider knowledge.
Wouldn't surprise me if Grimmy new there would be no renewal of contract last year. Oldies incompetence was in the public eye by Nov too. |

My problem with the OP is that if Nick and Olly were told in November that they weren't having their contract renewed, and only Cheryl was guaranteed to have face saving "I quit!" story, wouldn't the pair of them have announced that they have "decided to leave" back in November? Would you sit around waiting for an announcement that you've been sacked to be leaked to the press? Additionally, there have been NO rumblings coming from the XF camp about Cheryl leaving the show. Though it could still happen.
Still, the fact that Olly and Nick have left gives some credibility to the OP, though I think by the time November came around it was clear that the writing was on the wall for them. Secondly, Dannii has quit XF Australia, something that would have to happen if she were to return to XF UK. |

It's not up to Olly or Nick when it is announced, it's up to the ITV / X Factor press team. These things also take a while for everything to be covered properly and make sure all parties are happy with the press release and that it is the right time.
And as you said, if Danni was to return they would have to also wait for that announcement. Now Caroline has "quit" - first confirmation that the OP failed to predict. |

Also having heard Digispy's constant obsession with how skinny Cheryl is, he's decided to make her the food taster so you'll all shut up about it.
