Peter's Jive or John Seargeant's Paso?

Which was worse?

At least John Sergeant knew he was bad, and didn't take himself seriously.

I bet Peter Andre thinks that his dance really was a jive and he did it well. Hilarious!

John's Paso is iconic and one of the best dances the show has ever seen! No contest. Maybe one of Ann W.'s dances would make for a more even contest.

John's Paso !

I recognised some paso in Sergeant's dance, not least because Kristina was dancing paso doble. Neither Peter or Janette danced a jive.

John Sergeant's paso was memorable because of Kristina entirely, I've never seen a pro dancer throw themselves around and through a dance more (hence I mainly remember it as Kristina Rihanoff's Paso Doble, with cameos by John Sergeant), except maybe for that time Ian snogged Jodie Kidd at the end of their rumba, which was.... odd.

Peter's jive was, the more I think about it, a travesty on so many levels, and it didn't even have the decency to be a memorable travesty.

I imagine Kristina being dragged along the floor at a rate of half a mile per hour was less painful than it was for us sitting through ninety seconds of Peter Andre's... Peter Andre.

John's paso

How many more dances will Peter's jive be compared to? Quentin Wilson's cha cha? Lisa Snowden's bacofoil? I'm worried that the permutations are endless.😱

I think it's more comparable to Austingate, or Gabbygate.

John's Paso was recognisably a Paso. It was danced excellently by Kristina and to the best of his (very limited) abilities by John. It was also entertaining.

Peter's jive wasn't even close to being recognisably a jive. It was danced less than excellently by Janette, even worse by Peter and was cringeworthy rather than entertaining.

Which dance was worse? Hmm... tough call.

For entertainment John Sergeants was brilliant - for dance content Perers- neither were that recognisable as their official dance styles

I think at one point John accidentally kicks Kristina's head.
Still less painful than the jiveless jive.

I really really expected Peter to be good. Or even adequate. I'm quite bemused

So now everyone is seeing that " the king is in the altogether"
I was like the little boy in the story, I'm glad to say. I saw he was mediocre ( at best ) from the start. Even his first dance, which was received by the judges like they'd just watched Gene Kelly, didn't look like what it was supposed to be ( a cha-cha-cha? I can't even remember, it was so off the mark ).
In answer to your question, OP.. John was best. At least he wasn't being falsely marked by the judges.

No question .......

Peter's Jive that wasn't a Jive

at least John's Paso had some resemblance of the dance
