Ios 9.1
Hi, just wondering if anyone else is having a nightmare wth this update? I updated to this 2 nights ago and have had nothing but issues with it!
Unable to use my camera, video propelry now, it constanstly freezes. Then there is the issue with memory. I used to be able to store well over a thousand photos/videos with no issues at all. Now i keep being asked to go to my settings to manage my memory. I have deleted nearly all my photo's and videos to make room for this, but when i go into icloud it is looking for me to pay for storage that was once free!! Can anyone on here explain this to me please, as i am seriously thinking on buying a samsung as i am hell bent on not paying apple for what was until 2 dys ago free storage. Thanks for any help. And this is just 2 of the main issues i am having |

How much storage do you have?
Best thing to do would be to factory restore. Via iTunes if you can plug it in backup then restore. If not then via settings just be sure to back things up first. Occasionally an update can cause issues. It can happen with any handset. At least worth a try before you buy a new phone. iCloud had always been 5gb free and pay if you want more. There's never been a time when that wasn't the case so if it had been free up until now then you must have stayed within your 5gb limit. And iCloud is hardly rip off. It's 79p a month for 50gb. |

Which phone? What size? (e.g. iphone 5c 16gb). Have you turned on iCloud Photos (which stores all your pictures in the cloud; and keeps a copy on your phone). I've updated 4s, 5c, 5s and 6 phones to 9.1 without problem.
If you have an Apple store near you, you could get help in there for free. Some other options - you can also install Google Drive app and get 15gb storage, or the Amazon Photos app if you have Prime and keep unlimited photos. If your phone is full you get the same problems with Samsung (Android) - things stop working. |

Whcih means now i am unable to srore practially anythnig, and each time i want to use apps, it says not enough storage :/. I did pay the 79p, only for it to then say i still needed more room, seriously, i have zero on my phone now and it is still saying the same. Thank you for your help, i will try what you say

I have only now noticed the icloud photo's, i will take a look and hopefully with the help from both of you i will sort this out. Thank you |

Thank you for your help, i will try what you say ![]() If before hand it was all free you had to be within your 5gb limit. Else you would have been asked to pay for extra. So for it to say you need to pay for more than 50gb worth (79p) when previously you were within your 5gb free limit then something must have changed besides the update. You don't suddenly go from being absolutely fine with 16gb to needing 50gb+ because of an update. iCloud storage won't help with apps as they're not stored in the cloud. Just backups and photos. You need to figure out what is taking up all your room. Go to settings - General - storage & iCloud usage - manage storage. That will tell you what is using all the space on your phone. |

It sounds like a problem with iCloud Drive.
I'd do a backup to iCloud, double checking it has worked, and then do an erase, then restore from iCloud backup. |

Yes, it's iCloud backup.
Had several customers with this exact problem. Best way, if you have or have access to a PC or Mac is do an iTunes backup to back up the entire phone. The go to Settings/General/Storage & iCloud Usage. Under the iCloud section go to Manage storage, tap on you backup at the top (there might be more than one if you have an iPad for example), scroll to the bottom and Delete the backup. Then go back to Settings/iCloud/Backup and force a new complete backup. That'll sort it.! |
