We are all here giving out two pennorth, but at the end of the day it isn't his fault is it?

It's the judges!

Trouble is he will probably suffer the backlash.

Or the producers? Or his management company? Or some shady deal between the two? Or because he insisted on having a press-column-generating week written into his contract?

He suffered backlash before tonight!

Hes my least favourite and I think he has been overmarked, but the way hes slagged off on here is unecessary and OTT.

It is his fault if he accepts a verdict he knows to be wrong. He is free to do that but in doing it he will reap the consequences.

Of course its his fault. Everything is his fault. Because he's always in hellok and people are compelled to look at it in random shops everywhere. I think he may have caused the recent storms. In fact, come to think of it, they don't call it the San ANDREas fault for nothing....

The only thing he could have done is refuse to do a retake if it is true they filmed the ending twice.

I don't think anyone's actually blaming him, are they?
Seems like a nice enough fella to me. A bit false and he can't dance for toffee, but harmless.
99% of the criticism is directed at production, where it belongs.

It isn't nice for Peter and it isn't his fault. But most of the comments I've seen, and it is hard to keep up, seem more angry with the judges and the programme than with Peter. I think people will like or not like Peter as much as they ever did, once the dust settles, but the people who don't agree with the decision will have a lasting sense that the dance off is dodgy, and that is going to matter because a) the show really relies on its happy nice image and b) because there are lots of tough dance off decisions ahead. I can't see one uncontroversial dance off decision from here on in, tbh.

This doesn't appear to be Peter's fault however his reputation makes it bad for him. He already has a reputation for media manipulation, being overly sincere, and so on. We don't know if we're seeing the real Peter or not on our television screens. He fits too easily into a situation where the viewers don't believe what they're seeing.

Haha! He's not my favourite () but I agree that this particular PR Desaaarster is not Peter's fault and it's a shame that he's got caught up in it.

It's like that 'thanks Obama' meme which blames Obama for everything from storms to losing your keys the Americans have.
He's not having the greatest of years..Still, a good year for overtime if you're on his PR team Thanks Peter .

I agree with the OP, we are all getting hot under the collar about what happened but we should realise, it wasn't Peter's fault that the judges saved him in the dance off, it is the judges fault and more than likely the producers telling the judges to save Peter in order to save ratings.

Strictly is getting more and more like X Factor each year, there needs to be a big shake up in the producers as in my mind, they surely can't stay after last nights outcry, with not just Digital Spy in meltdown, but on the Strictly Website, Facebook and Twitter all outraged.

Even Arlene Phillips said on Twitter that based on the dance off, Jamelia should have been saved.

This week was blatant manipulation but we don't know who that is down to - the BBC thinking he's their big star, his management company insisting he's their big star, Peter Andre throwing his weight around because he thinks he's a big star (the least likely I think) ... but he should have gone and part of the backlash will be aimed in his direction.

What I'm not looking forward to is the media manipulation that will no doubt follow, with tearful shots of Mr Sincerity saying how badly he's let his kids down and how he wants to stay in for his kids because he loves his kids and while he's at it, did he mention that he loves his kids? Kids.

Love Peter and have wished him well in the show from the very start , as he puts his all into his dances. but this wasnt his finest hour. and he knew it... wasnt right or fair..the Judges should all be ashamed.. Lens Lense missed that one.

It wasn't his fault. It seems that there must have been an agenda, though what? Could it be that there's only be one male dancer left if he went and the BBC didn't want that so the producers instructed the judges to save him?

He should be feeling really rotten this morning, knowing the public opinion on the result. He won't like it, no-one in his position would. But better for him to keep quiet than try to get the public on his side again - that could make the backlash even worse.

I actually felt sick for Jamelia as she must have after her quickstep performance.. great energy and apart from some judges saying her top line wasnt right, I dont think the girl made a mistake... Peter tried so hard in the jive but wasnt his dance...although he can master some of the dances brilliantly.
