Yes, I can see that tonight's result was fixed ( ruined the programme for me) but what is the advantage in putting PA through over Jamelia? I don't get it.

Because they still think Peter is popular and a big signing lol

Others have increased public votes after a dance off, he might too but Jamelia has shown she won't after repeated dance offs. Eliminations before have tried to maintain diversity, e.g male/female ages, actor/presenter/sports he ticks a few boxes as male, older than average, music background. He also gets more social media and tabloid attention than most.

Dance offs are not about that dance, whatever the assumptions or claims. They are in the production because they give producers more control.

We will see just how popular he is next week, I think that there will be a big public backlash and hopefully he will go.

If the judges were told who to vote for and that's a big elephant sized 'if'. The only reason I can imagine it to be, ironically, to save themselves from controversy. They probably thought saving someone for a fifth time, over someone who has previously been tipped to win, would cause them a huge headache with people crying fix I'm favour of Jamelia.

In reality I think it was because the judges are only human. I doubt there's any moentry gain it's a bbc show all profits go back into the BBC and it's not like the ratings are down to warrant doing something such a stunt that could ruin the show completely if it got out.

How could it have been a fix for Jamelia if she was clearly better? Unless she was on it too and was told to dance better

There have been multiple occasions where an 'underdog' contestant has clearly danced better than an early favourite in the DO and been saved and people have lost their minds.

The BBC clearly want more stomping around and not attempting the steps of a designated dance, and throw in a bit of Dad Dancing as well.

It's a result for the Common Man sitting on the sofa at home, if Peter can do it, then they can to.

Anyway we can look forward to more of this, all the way to the Final now

It's such a shame. It was a ridiculous thing to do when Jamelia was clearly so much better.

What possible advantage was it to put someone who's been in five dance-offs from eight eliminations through?

Have you lott [pun intended] ever watched Strictly before!?

One single word answers all your questions, and more:

T O U R

It's the same every year...

But Peter isn't able to do the tour...... That's why he whined to the papers that he wouldn't win.......

Anyway - don't forget - according to Zoe and Co on ITT - we all love Peter!

Err no Zoe - we don't! He's been protected by the judges all the way through via being kept near the top of the leaderboard by being overmarked, and at the expense of better dancers! When he ends up in his fair position (bottom of the leaderboard) - it shows that he is as unpopular as Jamelia as far as the public are concerned, and the only reason he is still there is because at least two judges reversed their original marks. In the Dance off

'The BBC' didn't do anything. The judges clearly just think that Peter is a better overall dancer than Jamelia and so saved him regardless of the dance off performance. Not some sinister machinations, simply the judges having bias (which they always have done) and acting on it.

Hence why in that instance, Craig, the only judge actually involved in the tour, chose to save Simon, and it's recurring again now that Peter is on the tour.

Oh, hold on...

Column inches!

He generates more free publicity for Strictly than any of the others, probably more than any other Strictly celeb bar Kellie Brook.

His name gets into papers , he's everywhere and like it or not, and I'm on the not side, he generates interest.

Craig saved Pixie in that dance off though.

Jamelia has been bottom two, too many times, even against Iwan who was the worst dancer.

So clearly some people don't like her (probably the same people who are complaining that she should have been saved over Peter).

I agree and unless Peter is on another planet he will be fully aware of the big fix. If he has any principles he should quit the show rather than be associated with blatant fixing by the BBC.I agree it is not his fault but why would he wish to be associated with such goings on. Shame on the 3 judges for agreeing to it.

Even if he tops the leaderboard??

Face the facts - he's going nowhere but into that Final. We all know Jay is going to win but, to not look 1) far too obvious and 2) sexist, Jay must contend to the end with, at least one of his own kind...and as all the other males in the cast were deemed not good enough, your man has got that part locked down.

So you're hoping will be to no avail...

They don't want only one male dancer left this early on.
