I have a conspiracy theory that she's pregnant and thought she'd have been eliminated before now, so was keen to be released from the show. However I am fully prepared to admit that this may be a sign that too much time on DS has utterly rotted my brain and I've fallen down the reality tv worm-hole

Which is why I don't understand the hysteria over this. Jamelia was on her fifth dance-off! I've never known anyone in one of these TV shows with a public vote (and I've watched quite a view) get to five dance/sing/whatever-offs, never mind to be saved at that point! The maximum saves I've seen for one contestant has been four. So I just don't get why people are getting so steamed up about someone who was only saved as many times as she was because she was up against all the poor dancers.
Yes she was saved because she was up against poor dancers but Peter's dance Saturday was not just poor it wias awful. There was no jive in it at all. I don't like Jamelia at all and I do like Peter but I believe in fairness and I certainly didn't see any of that in the results show. Jamelia was miles better than Peter. Last year there was uproar because they sent Pixie Lott home and kept Simon Webbe. I thought it was fair because, in the dance off, Simon danced better than Pixie. How come then the rules suddenly change this year? |

People are annoyed because the judges are meant to judge on the dance done in the dance off, not last week or 3 weeks ago.

How come then the rules suddenly change this year? In fact, if it was all about who has performed better some weeks ago or who shows the most promise for the remaining rounds, then the DO is superfluous. But it exists, and exists for a stated reason.. This time, that stated reason was blatantly ignored. |

People are upset because they believe the evidence is overwhelming that the dance-off decision this week wasn't based on the judges' opinions of the dances in the dance-off, but was dictated by the show's producers. Because if that's true, how can we trust anything else we see as not part of the same 'fixed' agenda? Why vote if we only have the illusion of influence. Why care about a competition if the result is predetermined before the start? |

I watched the DO show after reading this about retakes and to be honest if I hadn't read about the retake here I wouldn't have known there had been one .!! How many of the viewing audience read DS or the social media sites ? I'd say the majority just see it as a light entertainment show on a Saturday and Sunday night ----- it's no big deal and I won't be losing any sleep over it . Regards |

I doubt she'd want to. I also think that she's expecting her next child - which is lovely. Why schlep around the country for a tatty show when you can live real life instead?

I doubt Karen would be able to say anything. She is paid by the BBC too.

It has nothing to do with her integrity, and everything to do with a water tight contract. You do not seem to know how the BBC works. Fair enough.
Truth: ' We pay you so you do as we say.' You can blame her, but she will not have had a choice. It is very naive to think she gets to choose The BBC decide. However, she is known for being down to earth and straightforward and what has happened will upset her and go against her ideals and how she works. I think there will be a change and I am now wondering how long she will stay after this |

She was promoting a compliation album of tracks she has chosen and also some fusion dance classes she is running. Suspect it was set up long before last night. Her only comments on SCD were about Anita's dance and some general observations about scoring.

Back to the conspiracy theory - a Tristan interview just got posted and he said this about the tour (below.) He's pretty open and honest, usually, so I think if Jamelia is pregnant, it's unlikely he would have said this (but I guess it's possible). BTW Gleb and his wife are doing these shows in Florida too.
