Perhaps Jamelia wanted to go

Without doubt the DO vote by the judges was wrong and looks very much like a fix. I'm not too worried as I didn't like watching Jamelia so won't miss her; ironically I would have been equally happy to Andre go too as he comes over as pretty nauseating too.
Lot's of outrage abut Andre being the golden boy etc and being kept in but I just wonder if the fix was because Jamelia wanted to go. She's obviously got an over-inflated opinion of herself and not getting the public vote obviously hurt her ego badly as she whinged a number of times 'I'm not very popular...snuffle, snuffle....'. Also having the record of the most times in the DO could translate into the record for being the most unpopular person ever in her 'celeb ' head. While I didn't warm to her I do understand that repetitive appearances in the DO could be embarrassing.
So, yep it looks like a fix - but perhaps it isn't all bad as it's possible she actually wanted to be released and the BBC kindly let her go this way rather than having to do a 'I'm ill...' or similar exit that no-one would have believed. This could be why she danced better than ever too - the pressure was coming off.
This would be a reverse John Sergeant - he had to leave as he was too popular, she had to leave as too not-popular. Just a shame it didn't happen last week so Jeremy could have been on his guitar rather than that tosser Craig.

I think this is the most likely reason, she got to Blackpool, she improved, she found out she's not that popular, time to call it a day.

So on Saturday arranges to meet the Rainbow on the prom for a little chat, describes scenarios, the Rainbow agrees, goes to bed Saturday night relieved.
Sunday - the Rainbow arranges acting lessons for Darcy and Bruno.

Her partner's tweet seems to suggest otherwise!

By Sunday, it's all over - the "Results Show" is just a recording of what transpired immediately following the live "Main Show".

I haven't seen anything from Jamelia that would suggest that she wanted out. She was enhancing her reputation each week IMO and there were people like me who were impressed by her attitude and started voting for her.

Just because she was in the dance off doesn't mean she was the least popular celeb in the show. We know that on at least one occasion, Kellie was less popular.

Please say it isn't so!

Are you seriously suggesting that they have been deceiving us?

When I read the title of this thread, I initially thought: "What rot!!!" Having read through it though, the OP DOES actually have a point.

You say she put too much into her QS DO but it could be she did so as the pressure was off, she knew it was her last actual competitive dance and by bowing out at the Tower Ballroom, she was doing so at a highpoint of the series second only to the Final (which she would never have reached anyway).

All this gave her a chance to bow out on a high and her resulting relaxed, happy attitude last night has, in fact, changed public perception of her for the better.

So a very negative time on the show has ended with a much longer-term benefit...as predicted by me way back when she was announced. I said, against the naysayers, in another thread that I think SCD will prove to be a good career move for her in terms of her perception in the public's eyes...and I have never been happier to be right!

I think the judges had decide it was her time to go. Tess actually asked Craig that question before she danced, and he very firmly answered 'YES'.

The trouble was that Peter, on the night, was so much worse than her and they were left with a dilemma. Go with their plan to get rid of her or do the right thing. They stuck with their plan.

Her QS was actually really good she has improved so much. She was robbed.

BiB - She certainly was. Thanking Tess, and the judges was a masterstroke!

She's been on quite a 'journey' hasn't she?
Early on nobody had a good word to say about her and her dancing was pretty stompy. Now her dancing has improved considerably and (almost) everyone is praising her.
Result!

She had one more week in her. She would have more if not for all the ringahs. She got to the point where she started improving and with a bit of interest from the public she could have done even better.

Jamelia wanted to stay- she was so excited in Friday about her QS and she danced beautifully. I hope what has happened will actually help her become more popular now as she has had a lot of abuse in the past for being outspoken

Absolutely.
And she clearly has far more class and dignity than the 4 idiot judges put together.
