Yes the show is fixed! But whose fault is that?

The judges, Peter Andre, the media, the producers or is it us who meekly submit to being mugged off because we enjoy the entertainment. Year after year in one way or another many aspects of the show are manipulated but should someone say anything they are smugly dismissed as conspiracy theorists by those that devotedly support the shows production. In a few days the anger will dissipate and nothing will have changed unless enough of us complain.

You would need to out balance the 10 million who happily tune in.

I don't think there's much point in apportioning blame.

Bottom line is different groups have different priorities. Inevitably these priorities come into conflict on occasion. To avoid controversy, only a set of even-handed, transparent rules and a satisfactory means of appeal and redress for when rules get broken will suffice.

Of course you may take the view that that would be a bit much for cheesy Saturday evening fluff and a bit of controversy is a good thing anyway.

Can we not keep the "OMG it's a FIX" jargon to one thread now?
