i'm not arguing about whether anyone's opinion is right or wrong, i'm arguing that an opinion isn't a fact. important difference, if you don't mind.
I agree with you Primer and you are right. But I think the standard of debate such as it was is going down the pan don't you?

I get a feeling it will be in the papers about re-recording the reaction to pondrays dance in the DO to show a standing ovation WILL end up in the papers tomorrow as Jamelia has just said it happened on ITT - Go Jamelia!!!

0.008% of the audience are over invested and laughably think its news...
This is probably the fairest summary there is.

Pre-recorded episode of reality show is edited manipulatively. Not really a scoop.

Since when have any of the tabloids worried about their stories being grounded in fact? It is a fact that hundreds of people have been expressing the opinion that the show is fixed - that's all they really need to make a story if they were so inclined.
Absolutely, and that's normally more than enough to make a story out of. However, now they do actually have a fact to work with - the fact that Jamelia has backed up an existing statement that Peter's standing ovation was manufactured.

The papers are so in love with Andre (voluntarily or paid off?) that it was unlikely to kick off. They'd much rather print stuff about who is Jay has bedded this week or have nasty digs at Kristina.
So basically Peter Andre has influence over the BBC and the papers, I had no idea he was so powerful. Andre for PM 😂😂😂

If James Jordan is to be believed, the Mail gets fed stories straight from the BBC all the time, so maybe they're protecting their usual source for Strictly scandal stuff.
and if ex dancer James Jordan says it is true it must be, he's just a stirrer have you not realised that yet.

Actually I would have expected the tabloids to have covered it simply because they sell sensationalism - and any whiff of a Strictly scandal they love. Ask Kristina. Or Ben Cohen's motherin-law. Or Ola's calendar...or shock exits or drop out or Anton calling someone a ****.
The Peter /Jamelia fan outrage is the kind of thing the tabloids love, especially given how much is was being talked about across all social media, it's notable that no-one is mentioning the one thing everyone is talking about.
Peters PR Mgt co must be very powerful if they can keep this story out of the papers. It is justification for wot Ola said to The Sun and should be a natural follow up. Crazy they can print lies about Jay but won't print the news about Peter.

I think we're at risk of overstating this story if we seriously think that Peter's PR team are working to keep it out of the papers. More likely is that it's not much of a story and only the vocal minority here are really making much of it.

I'll give him that his Charleston was good and he deserved to top the leaderboard for that - but every other week he's been well overmarked and had glaring errors ignored by the judges which meant he was protected from low public votes by an artificially high placing on the leaderboard.

I can see him m being in the dance off from here on in - as a protest from the public
're his Charleston dance, his professional dancer had assistance to choreograph that particular dance for him.He should have gone last night....

Lets have a look at my awful Yahoo news feed. It has

"The X-Factor: Anton Stevens voted off show but he doesn't go quietly"
X-Factor's Mason Noise "I was drugged up for last night's performance"
Ola Jordan looks downcast after claims "she'll never work for the BBC again"
Georgia May Foote celebrates Strictly success as she parties in a TINY dress
Tweeters were slightly offended by Take That's fashion choices on Strictly
I'm a celebrity 2015: Twitter absolutely loved Duncan Bannatyne putting Lady C in her place

Even though the standard of journalism on Yahoo and its partners is shockingly low this seems to be right up their street. Modern journos seem to like nothing more than copying and pasting a few social media comments and making them into a story.

Exactly I don't get why people are saying 'perhaps its not much of a story' when that has never ever stopped them before - this is exactly the kind of 'controversy' the papers normally love to hype up.

Actually, I'll give an answer to this mystery. The people who write the entertainment stories are clearly just writing the articles they are told to write by their editors and PR companies. They get told to write about dresses at an award ceremony so they do that. They don't have any initiative to search out any news and form an opinion for themselves. Clearly, Jamelia hasn't got a PR team phoning up the papers with 'her side of' the story.

SO now she is out the real Loose Women Jamelia is back, the judges she is criticising saved her 4 flipping times and I'm sure the BBC paid her well. She also got invaluable exposure, spoiled it a bit Jamelia, was beginning to warm to her.

Did Peter's DO jive get a standing ovation the first time? Or is that BBC spokesperson lying through their teeth?

From the mole it sounded like they had to film an ovation for him but the way Jamelia said it made it sound like they just re-filmed another one for him?

No it didn't get a standing ovation the first time - wasn't recognisable as a jive

Make your mind up Jamelia, the other week it was the public's fault because they didn't like her, I wonder why.

I have never been a fan of Peter, nor do I dislike him, but I am beginning to feel sorry for him, there seems to be a lot of irrational hatred for him, and a desire to see him fail.

Overall he has been better than Jamelia, a standing ovation didn't save him, three of the judges did.

Those are two entirely different situations?

And no one is saying the standing ovation saved him.... just that it seemed to be put in place to make the three judges who did look more credible.

It's a load of cobblers from two bitter women with axes to grind .
It is physically impossible to rig long run of dance shows . All sorts of things crop up . Illnesses can occur, close bereavements (God forbid), accidents causing physical inability to proceed . There are too many variables to plan THAT far ahead , it's weird to believe otherwise .
