Absolutely, and that's normally more than enough to make a story out of. However, now they do actually have a fact to work with - the fact that Jamelia has backed up an existing statement that Peter's standing ovation was manufactured.

Peters PR Mgt co must be very powerful if they can keep this story out of the papers. It is justification for wot Ola said to The Sun and should be a natural follow up. Crazy they can print lies about Jay but won't print the news about Peter.

I think we're at risk of overstating this story if we seriously think that Peter's PR team are working to keep it out of the papers. More likely is that it's not much of a story and only the vocal minority here are really making much of it.

Even though the standard of journalism on Yahoo and its partners is shockingly low this seems to be right up their street. Modern journos seem to like nothing more than copying and pasting a few social media comments and making them into a story.

Exactly I don't get why people are saying 'perhaps its not much of a story' when that has never ever stopped them before - this is exactly the kind of 'controversy' the papers normally love to hype up.

Actually, I'll give an answer to this mystery. The people who write the entertainment stories are clearly just writing the articles they are told to write by their editors and PR companies. They get told to write about dresses at an award ceremony so they do that. They don't have any initiative to search out any news and form an opinion for themselves. Clearly, Jamelia hasn't got a PR team phoning up the papers with 'her side of' the story.

SO now she is out the real Loose Women Jamelia is back, the judges she is criticising saved her 4 flipping times and I'm sure the BBC paid her well. She also got invaluable exposure, spoiled it a bit Jamelia, was beginning to warm to her.

From the mole it sounded like they had to film an ovation for him but the way Jamelia said it made it sound like they just re-filmed another one for him?

Make your mind up Jamelia, the other week it was the public's fault because they didn't like her, I wonder why.

I have never been a fan of Peter, nor do I dislike him, but I am beginning to feel sorry for him, there seems to be a lot of irrational hatred for him, and a desire to see him fail.

Overall he has been better than Jamelia, a standing ovation didn't save him, three of the judges did.

Those are two entirely different situations?

And no one is saying the standing ovation saved him.... just that it seemed to be put in place to make the three judges who did look more credible.

It's a load of cobblers from two bitter women with axes to grind .
It is physically impossible to rig long run of dance shows . All sorts of things crop up . Illnesses can occur, close bereavements (God forbid), accidents causing physical inability to proceed . There are too many variables to plan THAT far ahead , it's weird to believe otherwise .
