Well Zoe and Tristan couldn't really comment or be in big trouble with the bosses. I was like It will invoke differing reactions though. I think it makes her look a bit like a shitstirrer, and I think shows you why half the public disliked her.

Them refilming it doesn't mean what she implied, all it means is they wanted a better reaction on TV, not that they were gearing up to cheat Pete into staying. I still think the judges just used their wider judgement rather than focus on that night's show.

i liked her summary, that she would have chosen that ending, to go out, in blackpool, on her best dance and as part of a controversy!

jamelia living the dream

on the ovation issue though, i expect they often re-shoot bits for lots of different reasons, and its not evidence of a fix or of pre-judging.

Lord knows I never liked her.

For this she goes down in SCD legacy as actually having the balls to say what really goes on. Good on her.

Completely ungracious of her to bring that up, she's been saved umpteen times already, what did she expect?

Shock story - Strictly isn't "fair"!! Who'd have thought! They'll be telling us the Sunday show isn't live next.

Can't stand Peter but I'm actually glad he went through now.

It's live tonight isn't it so they couldn't edit it out. I thought it was great that she made a point about it and the pair of them giggling was great.

I'm not so sure they do, someone like Jamelia who is on the show would know if they do, but obviously they do not do it as standard every week.

According to Saturday's mole - when Peter finished his dance off there was no standing ovation from the audience - so they re did the end of the dance and got the audience to give them an ovation.....

That's the first time we have heard them doing any such thing - Jamelia got one - Peter didn't so they made the audience do one - so Jamelia knew she was being stitched up!

She's got every right to make whatever comments she likes - she was robbed!!

Same here. Her true self came out. One ungrateful person who had been saved 4 times. Get the message, public were not voting for you.

Good on Jamelia, the whole thing was a farce, why shouldn't she tell it like it is & considering she wished Peter & Janette well, I don't believe it was a dig at them, more the production team.

Better reaction
any reaction is better than nothing which is exactly what Peter got the first time, hence why they had to re-record the end part again & told all the audience to stand up.

All of this.

She articulated it really well with killer timing. Her inverted comma gesture re: Pete's standing O.

Of course, it's entirely possible that such a thing has happened before and we're only hearing about it now because of this specific situation of the "worse" dancer going through.

Bloody LOVE her for saying that.
Some were doubting the veracity of what the mole had seen (spoiler thread) so I am glad we heard it directly from Jamelia and her use of speech marks for "standing ovation" backs up what the mole said.
Why should she keep that quiet? Tristan, Zoe and others' hands are tied/lips are sealed.
It will be very interesting seeing Peter and Janette on tomorrow and to actually hear what Karen did think about Saturday.

She knew about the public and got slaughtered for having the guts to say it out loud.
Don't you remember?
She was talking about the manipulation of the judges tonight.
Didn't you get that? I'm surprised, I thought it was clear enough.

Zoe asked: "What was going through your mind in the dance off, were you still thinking there might be hope?"

Jamelia replied: "I definitely thought there was hope; we did a great last dance... Um.. I think it was until they... Re-recorded Pete's "standing ovation" (hand gesture here). I'd say that that was the moment I realised we were going home."

Of course re-filming the standing ovation for Peter points at the direction of travel. Why else would it be re-filmed if not because the original response was an honest response to his inability to execute a QS and would jar with the choice to save him?

It just needs to be made clear that the choice of who to save is not based on how someone performs on the night.

This then raises the question of why have a dance off at all if it isn't going to determine who goes through and who gets sent home.
