I think that would ruin her a bit, the same way it would ruin Tracey if they made her a proper character.

she's alright in small doses, after a while, too much exposure would make her a caricature & very dull. So, no to full time.

I do like her guest stints and her input to family Meals.

I prefer her in small doses. Too much and I'd go off her I think.

Agreed. A character who seems funny 'cause we don't see her often; if we saw her most episodes her barbs would become pure annoying.

They might not, everybody loved Blanche in Corrie and she was proper vicious. Can't believe Aunt Sal played Olive in In The Buses.

I like Sal but agree with others full time she would be annoying, look what's happened with Elaine.

Aunts Sals role is the insider on the outside. They bring her in because her honesty and direct approach cuts through the usual twaddle we get with the Mitchell's. She gets away with her comments because she's part of the family and they have to tolerate her. You wouldn't get the same relationship if she was in the show full time.

Besides I like the fact we have a recurring character who turns up for all the key events.

I used to like her but the last few times she's been back she been a spiteful vicious cow. Her quips used to be well timed and truthful but now she's being nasty just for the sake of it. She's just not funny anymore. It reminds me of how Shirley used to be funny with her one liners but then she turned nasty and isn't funny anymore. I'm surprised people still think Aunt Sal is funny. She's an evil old witch. I wouldn't invite her to my wake let alone a family dinner.

Aunt Sal and Shirley have more or less been spiteful and vicious for many, many years, and neither of them were like that to begin with. Funny they never were/are, nor were/are they endearing.

Love Aunt Sal. She's better in small doses. She would be a bit too much as a regular.

She's just a caricature whose sole purpose is to troll Mitchell dinners. It's boring, lazy and one-dimensional - but that describes EastEnders generally nowadays.

Don't like her and think her acting is appalling. The way she sits and blatantly waits for it to be her line is incredulous!

Not funny and not even in small doses. Get rid of her; she could never replace Peggy or be the matriarch.

How ridiculous to have a family lunch and have Aunt Sal there!?! We NEVER hear anything about her until there's a wedding or a funeral. Ridiculous.

Aunt Sal has been brought in as the Head Of The Mitchell Empire now that Phil's a drunken mess and Ronnie has to go on the run. Don Saleone. She will rule with an iron walking stick.

I loved her facial expression when Honey walked in. It's like she was thinking 'oh good grief, here's the village idiot.'

She definitely has the 'Blanche' factor. Tell things how they are.
But I do believe Anna's health would prevent her becoming a regular character.

That's a shame. What are her health issues?
