The dancer has announced her exit from the series after this year and it sounds like a good move as she's apparently been BANNED from the broadcaster's channels.

In the body of the article it says that she has been "blacklisted" and will be "spoken to this weekend". So, not really banned

I thought blacklisted meant banned? Not being sure, I looked it up on Dictionary.com

Blacklist

1.
a list of persons under suspicion, disfavor, censure, etc.:
His record as an anarchist put him on the government's blacklist.
2.
a list privately exchanged among employers, containing the names of persons to be barred from employment because of untrustworthiness or for holding opinions considered undesirable.
3.
a list drawn up by a labor union, containing the names of employers to be boycotted for unfair labor practices.

Funny how the BBC could support the likes of Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris for years and years though.......

They are showing their true colours and it's not pretty.

You are quite correct, I should have been more explicit in my post The headline seemed to indicate to me that she had been banned from the BBC with immediate effect and would no longer appear on SCD, whereas the article itself gives the impression that she will be "blacklisted" in the future. The headline does not accurately reflect the article imo, but what's new there?

It's extra publicity.

Controversy may draw in even more viewers and they may have Ola front and centre on the Clauditorium so viewers can 'read' her body language.

"She could ruin the repution of the show"

I think the judges and producer did that on Saturday

Jimmy Saville used to go to tea with the Prime Minister for several years, Rolf Harris worked for ITV too. All sorts of organisations!

Regarding Ola, mostly Strictly doesn't comment about tabloid press exaggerated stories, they do what they did at the weekend - put her on the front row.

I'd be amazed if she didn't know about this story well in advance of it 'leaking'. The Jordans seem quite familiar with the media and its machinations

Has she been on ITT properly, i.e. on the couch talking to Zoe or reporting, since her partner was eliminated? I doubt whether there is a ban, what programme is likely to have her appear? She would not appear on a chat show without her husband and none would want him, also they do not tend to go into tabloid sttyle muckracking.

PS I see 'Tellymix' is the Daily Mirror. Hardly the most reliable or authorative source of information, the newspaper that makes The Sun look respectable!

I suspect the truth is that the programme is just not interested in her and she and the cretin she married are now saying she's banned from BBC.
They could ban them both for oxygen sources as far as I'm concerned.

More opportunity for her husband to pimp her arse round the mucky calendar business.

Or if she appears on Saturday even. Last time we got the DS thread headline that Ola and Kristina had been axed it turned out they had a scheduled days leave.

The BBC rarely ban a person or anything else. We see claims of it regularly but it is nearly always just that they have decided to not polay a record or not sure a particular person on a programme. I haven't been on TV but I doubt that I have been banned!

It's Aljaz and Janette who have the week off the pro routines this week, so Ola should be there.

Given that I can see a headline saying "Ola Jordan looks downcast after claims she'll 'never work for BBC again'" it seems pretty clear that (1) she knows about it and (2) her PR people have fed the story to the press to make it look like she was the victim.

That original article was clearly a parting shot, although she might not have expected the gravity it got because of the Blackpool dance off.
