I don't know her personally of course, but she seems to me to be a nice person with a bubbly personality. Plus she can do some amazing things in party Latin dances!

I imagine she's feeling pretty down at the moment, what with the forced standing ovation, the booing of the judges' decision and now the social media outrage. None of it her fault (except perhaps her lack of ability to get PA to jive.)

However, no sympathy at all for Andre.
I do wonder if the Beeb, in order to secure his 'wondrous' services for show, had to commit to him making at least the semi final, or something along those lines, to maximise his publicity. I seem to recall he was considered one of the favourites (hah!) before the series started, so they probably didn't think it much of a risk....

Not that I'm a conspiracy theorist, you understand!

The thing is though that Peter might be on a low after all this... I feel he takes things to his heart.. so lets hope he goes out there and shows everyone why he was kept in.. Overall he is the best dancer between him and Jamelia but oh why bother having a dance off, it was dreadful for her..

She is stuck with PA but that was horrific choreography, regardless of crap PA danced it.

After Len's dig at her the previous week about it being an AS not a VW I thought she would do a straight jive, learn from her mistakes but she didn't. Yes she did choreograph to distract from Peter's lack of technique, but the lack of jive in it at all really has fuelled the witch hunt aimed at them across the internet.

I don't think I feel sorry for her. Peter hasn't improved. He can perform, he can learn routines etc etc. All she needs to do is teach him ballroom dancing - but she can't, because she hasn't the skills.

I really like Janette and I love watching her dance (though I'd never say she was the best at ballroom or Latin!), and I think she and Aljaz are wonderful together.

But I do think it's fair to criticise her a bit for lack of content - that is her job. And that should be the case even if, as I suspect, she decided to cull some content because Peter didn't have enough training time and wasn't getting it so she decided to ensure they could at least put on some sort of a show rather than do a load of complicated steps badly. I do think Peter needs to stop messing around with turning on Christmas lights and do more training, but maybe it would be better if Janette just put the content in, no matter how badly it ends up being danced. She choreographs with Aljaz - surely between the two of them they could stick a little more content in.

Having said that though, she's getting far too much of the blame for all of this. Peter is not as good as the producers thought he would be, and doesn't seem to be putting as much into it as others. Janette clearly knows they shouldn't have gone through - her body language on Sunday and what she's said since the results show aired have made that very clear - I think she suspects they'll be eliminated this weekend, and given she also appears to be getting frustrated at his antics maybe that's not such a bad thing. I just hope she doesn't end up in a dance-off against Aljaz (thankfully Helen has ballroom!).

I'd say Janette deserves most of the blame, since she's the one whose job it is to choreograph and teach the routine. I suspect that if she was dancing with anyone else, people wouldn't be falling over themselves to feel sorry for her or blame her celeb.

The continuing nastiness towards Peter is baffling to me, as is all the conspiracy nonsense - he's a z-list numpty, with no power over the judges, the BBC or anyone else associated with Strictly. Basically, the person who'd been in the DO 4 times (against the no-hopers) was finally put out of her misery in her 5th DO! It's hardly rocket science - though people are still tying themselves in knots trying to make it into some insidious conspiracy, because they don't like the celeb who was saved!

I really feel for her aswell. It's not her fault that they got through and that what happened, happened. I really hope that people on twitter and such aren't blaming her for it.

Criticism for the lack of content though would be fair. The only type of dancing I've ever done is Irish dancing and even I could tell that there didn't seem to be a lot of jive in it. However, the pros really can only choreograph to what their celebs can do and it looked to me at times like Peter could barely lift his feet off the floor.

Hope she will be back next year. Hope all this palaver does not hurt her chances. If Ola and Kristina are going hope they bring back Erin(assuming she would want to)

Then what is the point in having a Dance Off if the Celebs are judged by past performances

Peter's Jive, which wasn't a Jive was deemed better than Jamelia's Quickstep.
Both Craig & Darcy scored Peter less than Jamelia in the main show, but both voted to save Peter in the DO.
IMO and many others believe Peter did not make any improvements in his DO & Jamelia actually out danced Peter, so therefor Jamelia should have been the Celeb to be saved & NOT Peter.
