I can't find it. I did say they would get it deleted. They do it all the time.

Yes ann, happens all the time as I have said before. Every anti-Jay thread has been removed.

Some of the stuff in the Jay thread was bordering on libellous.

People just don't like Peter Andre, deal with it.

It was a terrible thread full of desperately over-reactionary 'won't someone think of the children!!!' Nonsense from the easily offended (or the faux offended.) so I'm glad it was closed, I'm just surprised it was deleted.

It wasn't just nasty though, it ended up crossing the line of taste and decency with some particularly sick posts, and ended up having absolutely nothing to do with Strictly, so I'm glad that someone complained.

So, for the OP of this thread - why bring it up again? The mother of the toddler in question has no problem, as shown by her tweet, so why does anyone else?

But why?

Jay's own App Thread discusses the thing he said in terms far stronger than the Lost Thread, which was humorous, I thought. Has that gone too!?

Jay said the thing openly on ITT; it's been in the Mirror. It makes no sense to delete people's responses to it.

Jamelia's comments on the SO that were delivered on ITT and reported in the Mirror have also got DS reaction and those threads still stand.

But she's a Jay fan, of course she wouldn't.

I, too, am glad when people are prevented from discussing things on a discussion forum.

I'm honestly not sure what happened to that thread. By the end of it, it was just people making jokes. There are plenty of threads that stray from the original topic on this forum. Probably best not to question any decisions made here...you won't get a real response.

Yes, but posting libellous comments could get the owners of this forum into serious trouble.

People slating Peter isn't the same thing.

People here should know better than to take the name of St Jay in vain. ⛪

and they always go for the libellous comments excuse. I have seen it all before many times on DS, they alert the mods en masse.

What about people slating his wife and casting aspersions on her being a doctor?

Being serious here, I don't remember seeing libellous posts in that thread.

Some overreactions (yes, probably me!) and snide comments, but was there anything that could have more serious implications?

Maybe because they are relevant to the show and hence this forum.

Implying that a contestant meant violence to a toddler crosses the line. We all know he didn't, the mother knows he didn't, I imagine the producers know he didn't.

Besides people were making some very sick jokes on that thread.

There are threads still standing where users make claims that Peter has planted stories, influenced the judges vote, and acted aggressively towards other contestants/pros.

There isn't any concrete evidence for any of it, so does that not constitute libel in the same way as the Jay thread?

In which case, I can only imagine the jokes made in the thread caused it to be removed.
