Exactly. I've been here quite a while now and the only threads which get removed rather than simply locked tend to be those which could cause Digital Spy (or Hearst Media in this instance) legal issues.

Not always they don't. The Mods may not be actively posting as they used to do in the early days of DS, but they usually keep an eye on forums they know can have issues and SCD has always been one of those.

Oh and edit - I hate sick jokes, and every one of them on that other thread had a spoiler so I didn't have to read a single one of them (and didn't).

So thanks to everyone who was considerate enough to do that, and to people who were offended by the jokes - why did you look?

The reason the thread was deleted is because lots of Jay fan(atic)s asked for it to be taken down and the mods bowed to pressure.”

I can't even find it. I wouldn't mind but most of it consisted of peeps having fun.

BIB: Thanks for that piece of feedback. I'll use spoilers in future for anything that might seem offensive.

I'd like to add that I don't want you to get banned either.

The rules about posting seem quite fluid to me.

Oooo brilliant. I am thinking of Professor Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady tracking down the accents and sayings.

No but it was from Coronis so if you spot him/her again ask them to post it, if appropriate, or PM it to you.

I had already responded to BeyonceCastle before I read this. I misinterpreted what s/he was suggesting and have responded accordingly.

Hope you're suitably embarrassed for jumping the gun there in terms of my trying to close down discussion.

How embarrassed would you like me to be?

My pleasure. I enjoyed the bonhomie and laughs in that thread. Coronis's post, which I don't have sadly, was hilarious and I missed until you highlighted it. It was a really good comment on how celebs get forced into some sort of story or character during the show and sometimes it's to manipulate an outcome.

Ahh yes that was the lovely Series Four, when Emma Bunton was doing the official Children In Need song and back in those days, SCD still raised money for the charity.
The Judges' manipulation that year was a thing of beauty
