Love the show.....increasingly becoming bored senseless when I read the first 10 threads on this forum though.....yet I still come back on here daily

But my interest on here has most definitely decreased - maybe click on one or two threads at most.

I do. And I like all bar one of the remaining contestants.

I watch the show without FFing, I watch the results show without reading the spoiler and I watch ITT every night I can. I'm practically a thooperfan.

But do you watch it again immediately afterwards ?
Do you spend Saturday evenings on Autumn holidays searching for illegal BBC 1 streams ?
Do you set aside thirty minutes a week to read every word of StrictlyComeBitching ?

That's what I call thooper

I'm guessing for probably the same reasons various other threads get removed rather than closed - there's usually something in them which may cause Digital Spy problems.
As I'm not sure which thread specifically AT is referring to, I can't say for sure if that was why though.
Threads which get contentious or stray off topic usually just get closed, it's rare for the Mods to actually delete a thread I've found.

Strictly Come Bitching and Monkseal are my appointment blogs every week.

I have a Strictly playlist on YouTube and watch it the rest of the year to get my fix.

Thooperish?

It was a thread based on Jay's appearance on ITT last night. He expressed himeslef in a slightly odd way ahd it resulted in a thread. The thread happily then became a bit of a satire of itself. That bit was fun. But I can see tha tsome of it was beyond the pale and understandably the mods pulled it

I agree, it does appear that many want it to be taken off air. All this stuff about fixing and good old Jamelia she stuffed it to the producers and BBC etc.

Oh well if DAN WALKER is behind her she'll be UNSTOPPABLE.

Vaguely on topic : I'm enjoying this series more than I think any since Series 8. the standard of dancing is generally high and for once the contestants are almost as bonkers as the fans.

I just don't get the intensity - considering both Jamelia and Peter were sure to be out in the next weeks anyway.

If you are a massive fan of a celeb you should be praying he/she is criticised and undermarked and at the same time dreading the possibility that the judges mark them favourably.

Its votes that count in the end and we all know how it works...so the outcry seems a little OTT and bizarre.

For me Strictly is like a friend with quite a few bad habits - they irritate me but it doesn't stop me liking her or him because I can see the good things, too.

Yes, but will have to suspend disbelief to gloss over last weekend's DO debacle.

ha ha. Yes me too and the fact that it is still anybody's game and even better I don't give an Es Aitch One Tea who wins.

I absolutely love the show - it's not perfect, sure, but it's one of the very best shows on television IMO and nothing else (as far as TV programs go!) gets me as excited while it's on.

I can understand why some people are bored by Jay's admittedly inevitable win, but at the same time, I have no clue which three contestants will make the final with him, which makes it almost as gripping for me. It probably helps that I really like Jay, but my point still stands.

I like it more when there's a bit of controversy...particularly when the controversy doesn't involve somebody really good going out.

I would not assume Jay is going to win - has huge support - but Anita is fast gaining momentum and getting a lot of positive media attention right now - remember Caroline last year - she went from bottom 2 to winning so anything can happen yet

I do.
Apart from watching "dancing celebrities", I love watching their faces when they're waiting for their names to be called.

still like the show, just a bit disappointed at the manipulation this year with music and costume choices

I still enjoy the show, but I really have 3 pet hates :

1) Some of the music has been almost as bad as it could get. I've heard even the pros are now complaining.

2) The costumes have ranged from excellent (Katie's ballroom dresses). to inappropriate (the male dancers overtight, market-stall looking trousers), to downright diabolical (just about all of poor Kellie's dresses).

3) The way when someone's favourite has been panned by the judges, or voted out, there seems to be immediate controversy about the show being fixed, etc.

So for next year :
I would like to see someone who knows enough about ballroom/Latin dancing brought in to choose appropriate music, and make sure that D.Arch plays it at the correct tempo.

A change to a different dressmaking firm as Vicky & Co have clearly run out of ideas.

Other than that, yes there are things that sometimes annoy me, but overall I still think it's a great show. No one is ever going to agree with everything.. There is a saying "You can't please all the people all the time, etc etc etc......................" The fact the ratings are still around the 10million mark means it is definitely pleasing a lot of people a lot of the time.

In fact, it's one of the few things I do watch. Strictly, GBBO, Apprentice, Dr Who, Sherlock, Catastrophe. And TransParent back on 11 December.
What should I be watching?!”

Oh me too - apart from The Last Kingdom (and Sherlock when it's on!) it's the only TV I watch. I love the crazy, happy, OTT atmosphere of Strictly: it's like no other show. No sob stories, no careers to be broken or started, just fun and hard work and great entertainment. And the pros are gorgeous which always helps!

As long as people don't take it too seriously, it's all good
