It doesn't matter what music Katie and Anton have - Anton just can't do latin and it may end up being unintentionally comedic.

The Argentine Tango is not classified as a Latin dance on this show .

In which case they'd probably top the voting

I realise that it's not classed as latin but it's closer to latin in its influence and Anton will still be rubbish at it..

AT is not latin and Anton will, I think, treat it as he would the ballroom tango. With expert choreography I believe Katie and he can deliver a very good AT.

Disclaimer: I'm a free floating fan and have not hanged my hat anywhere, as yet.

Unless Gleb takes his top off again

He's not top drawer for wiggle hipped bouncy latins but tango is more staccato moves and placement of feet and legs .And drama , lots of drama . That kind of controlled movement suits him much better and with katie being to svelte, focused, and rather good this could be quite decent .
Not keen on gg's song at all . I'm not keen on kellie's either but I can see where it should suit a salsa type routine so she should be great again .PLEASE wardrobe , give her something sexy and funnity fun and put the granny stuff in the bin .
Really REALLY looking forward to anita slamming the rumba though . She is seriously undermarked in this series and I loved karen pointing that out and bigging up that superb paso as the best one ever . Yes it was and deserved 4 x 10's .
The others should be ok , decent dances and songs .

Well, I'm a Gleb fan but he's not the celeb and though I like Anita she's not won me over. Now if Gleb were the celeb ...

And where's your hat GoinGaga?

Not a great copy but here's Anton doing the AT with Patsy with all the others in series 3.

This is of course when they worked celebs harder, doing group dances.

The camera is on Patsy and Anton quite a lot so it gives you a fair idea.

I really like all the songs this week. Especially Georgia and Jay. Anita too but Meryl and Maks did their rumba to that song from DWTS and i know I'll compare it.

Oh, my hat's firmly placed on Team GG, but Glita come in a close second

Aah. I like GG as well, perhaps a little more than Glita. I like Kanton and KK too. Don't mind Jaypet, a little indifferent and dislike Peter, though not as much as some. I've taken against Helen and I don't know why. But any of them could sway me with a good run of dances that capture my imagination. If they featured Gleb, all the better.

Not sure I like Jays Tango sone - I think they could have given him a stronger one

I have to say Kellie and Helen are working their way into my favourites list. I wouldn't start voting for them now unless we lost GG and Glita but they have definitely started to grow on me a bit more. Loved Kellie's QS last week, so that might have something to do with it, and I've seen a few tweets of Helen's that have made me think she's actually quite a sweet girl, just very nervous. I love Call the Midwife, so I really want to like her but have struggled to warm to her up until now If she nails my favourite dance to one of my favourite songs this week, she could well and truly convert me

Great choice for Helen & Katie, and I imagine the AT will be choreographed by someone else? The rest seem to fit the dances.”

He hasn't been back since week 1.

AT years ago used to be classed as latin years ago and is different in every way to the ballroom one (or should be) I just feel Katie will be a bit too stifff

such an odd routine and far more ballroom tango than AT like a weird hybrid but thanks for posting interesting to watch

Jay and Aliona are performing the Tango to Prince ‘When Doves Cry’.

Katie and Anton will dance the Argentine Tango to Ástor Piazzolla’s ‘Libertango’
.
Kellie and Kevin will Salsa to ‘I Want You Back’ by The Jackon 5.

And Peter and Janette are going to dance the American Smooth to the ‘Sweetest Feeling’ by Jackie Wilson.”

Seems like the Paso (has a 80's rock version ever worked??) and Salsa have the most challenging music.

And Jay has the unfortunate challenge to follow in the footsteps (in music terms) of a great Strictly performance:

I reckon we'll finish up with a rumba hybrid with South American accents - Uruguayan maybe, if not actually Argentinian. It'll be Katie and Anton's first 10.

Just you see.

Can imagine some sort of mix between SEB's and Susanna's two years ago, in which case she should score about 32 points.

With Jamelia gone, it's very likely she will be bottom of the leaderboard as most of the others will score 9's and probably a few even 10's (not even speaking about the Quickstepathon).

Liked her in the beginning, after that Jive and Tango mainly, but other then "Year of the Anton" she is not really a deserving finalist (just like with Anita, it's mostly about the pro). Mind you, I do get it's not strictly a dancing competition (also an entertainment show).

I liked Pasha and Kimberly routine.
I found Vincent and Rachel performance cold, passionless but Good. These 2 had virtually no chemistry on the dancefloor imo. Yes, even with their rumba.

Could say something funny about Jay, but let's not

Isn't the at kind of stiff based anyway though ? I'm no expert though .Maybe not stiff , but kind of taut and staccato might be a better description .
I just have a feeling they'll do well . Katie is a dream partner and very willing to work on things . Anton is loving working with her , you can see that .
