This week has been really strong so far, great twist with Vincent and some good stuff with the Mitchells, good to see Jay stepping up

Some good humour with Aunt Sal

Denise story is intriguing too and Cora popping up was interesting

Anyone agree?

I agree, although I find the Philth's permanent merry-go-round boring, I admit Steve portrays drunk fabulously well but I will be sorely disappointed if his story just continues in circles, he's drunk for three or four months, dries out, continues to be vile and unbeatable uggghhhhh it's hideous.

Other than that I agree there's been decent story progression, particularly with Vincent over the last week.

Love Cora's appearances regardless of how brief, she should be given more she's utterly fabulous, Ann does the alcoholic/tramp brilliantly well

Love honey and Ronnie.

Has the peroxide fried Roxy's last brain cell?

The Vincent twist was the best story for me. I agree that I don't want to see endless repetitive scenes with Phil getting drunk and Sharon moaning and threatening to walk out but never does. Then he'll get better and beat up Vincent with a cast on or something stupid. I can see now why Vincent let Phil off with hitting him, he's a cop and after information and even though he's deep undercover has to follow guidelines where committing crimes is concerned. According to a certain real police officer I know, undercover cops and informants can only commit crimes with permission from their handlers and then the crime has to be for a good reason ie keeping your cover and getting in deeper with the criminals you're spying on. If under certain circumstances you can't speak to a handler and need to commit a crime like hit someone then you should be a bad aim but make it look real all the same.
I would like to see Billy actually have the balls to keep away from the Mitchells so that he can keep Honey as his missus.
Cora is a brilliant character. I want to see life on the streets for an older woman. Lets have more Cora!

Stepped up? You sound like a "Mitchew" op!!

I agree. It has been stronger this week. I know Ronnie is marmite but when she is on form its always good for the show.

Sal is always good value for some one liners.

Fatboy has been interesting for the first time in 5 years.

Denise and her new story is intriguing.

I think not having too many spoilers is helping. Its not perfect but its a lot better than whats been before

Surprise twists do help (as long as they aren't ridiculous) and I think then Vincent one is confusing but potentially very interesting.

I guess they're not writing Ronnie out as it stands so it must all sort itself out

I hope the Honey/Ronnie duo wasn't all of 2 episodes, some potential with those 2 I think

Two decent episodes in a row, but still a long way to go before it's back to health.

It's already there IMO. I watch EE through the good and the bad but I find myself enjoying this weeks episodes and actually looking forward to tonight!

I must admit this week has been better so far and a nice twist with Vincent. Been an enjoyable week so far. Love Aunt Sal and is always a joy to watch Anna Karen.
