Ola Quits Strictly....
Noush
25-11-2015
Sorry if this has already been mentioned. I looked for a thread and couldn't find one.

So Ola has decided to quit? Surely I am not the only one who thinks that arrogant, bad-tempered, control-freak of a husband is behind this. He's a jealous bitch isn't he?! After he was SACKED and she was kept on, it was only a matter of time before he ground her down and emotionally blackmailed her into leaving! I saw them on a TV programme which followed them around for a week. Ola is totally brainwashed by him.

1. There have been several threads about it over the last week or so.

2. It's rather demeaning to Ola to assume she's incapable of making her own decisions about her own future.

maybe Ola has loyalty to her Husband this is why she quit and has nothing to do with James controlling her

There have been a few threads on the subject, but I agree with you. I think once James was sacked the writing was on the wall for Ola, they tried to keep her on but they are both so fame obsessed and attention seeking it was never going to work.

James has always been a total idiot and I was glad when he was let go but in fairness to Ola, he is her husband... I found it odd that she stayed at all after he'd left.

She has lots of fans.

I am confused. Ola is not an employee (neither was James). Both are self employed artists who are available for hire. Ola was hired this year by the BBC presumably on a contract until the end of the series. Are we being told she has walked away from her contract?

Good point because I think none of the pros know who'll be contracted next year until Spring at the earliest. And then I think it depends on which celebrities are available. For instance Jessica Ennis might say she'll do it, but only if she can be paired with Gleb. So he would definitely be back. I'm sure that's what Rachel Riley did with Pasha, and now we know why.

Ola must have stated that she wouldn't be available in any event. But perhaps she was also told that she wouldn't be hired in any event, and she's been allowed to present the situation as a jump rather than a push.

No, just that this will be her last year on Strictly - she's seeing out her contract but won't be taking a new one if it's offered to her next Spring.

But of course the fact that the pros themselves don't know whether they're getting offered a new contract or not until next year can't get in the way of a good blown out of proportion tabloid story....where's the eye rolling smiley we used to have, it'd be perfect for this...

Thanks Mystical. Of course even if she has said she won't take another contrqact there could be all sorts of r3easons for that. She and James may have other plans for next year. I won't speculate what they might be, but she may know thngs we don't.
