I liked it, thought the fighting choreography was quite good and it's always good seeing Sara kicking ass. The story was a bit cliché though, but was good fun, will be interesting to see how Ray will fit into the group now that he has no suit.

I know Steel said he was a huge fan of Fuedal Japan, but I find it hard to believe that in a split second he can figure out that it was the Edo Period. Then again, he was setting his net quite wide.... 1603-1868.
But he could easily have been in the last days of the Azuchi–Momoyama period. Yeah...I'm splitting hairs. |

That Shogun epsiode was dreadful. It was as if they'd watched TMNT III and thought "hey let's do that"
And why did Mick say that he has no proof of ninjas despite fighting them? ![]() Mick wanted proof he could show others. Not that the shuriken really does that, to be fair

This just gets better and better. We all know the stories are daft and completely inauthentic, but we don't care (well, I don't!), because of the brilliant action and terrific fun - each episode is like a mini action film, that I want to watch again and again. Sorry for another Star Trek reference, but I love that old-fashioned 'different story every week' thing (which I can appreciate might annoy a lot of people?). But there are serious bits too - Jax came into his own this week, and played his part with real heart.
But the icing on the cake - Mick's zombie! ![]() ![]() My god, I love that man, I so do - he's (genuinely) hysterical. If you want a dry-witted tough guy, why not an Oz-raised Scouser, lol - why not indeed? (Although what Captain 'Ray' Cold will be like - who knows?! )Does anyone miss Rip much? I actually don't! That sort of 'over-delivered' intense acting style Arthur Darvill did never really quite worked with me, and I couldn't take him 100% seriously (although 'seriously' is probably not a good word to use in connection with this show, lol). HOWEVER.... ![]()

Have to be a stick-in-the-mud, but the 'zombie Civil War' was another nafftacular ep. And you could tell that it must've aired around Halloween in the States. (Edit Nov. 3... close enough!)
I'm with Dr. "Marty" - it'd been better without the zombies. |

Yeah. Have to agree. Never ever seen the appeal of Zombies.

OK, a bit better this week - but really light on the real '80s nostalgia.
It feels like it was more of a setup for future eps (with 'Col. Cold' etc.) |

I thought this was one of the lamest episodes this season - cowboys again, yawn... (perhaps I'm all Westworlded out!). But it was good to see Hex again, if only for a short time. (They should use him more, he's an important DC guy.) He could have done with a bottle of cough mixture for this episode (I had to keep rewinding him to get what he said!), and every time I see him I have this over-riding urge to snip through that little bit of latex they've stuck over his lip...
![]() Loving Mick as usual - but he was left a bit short-changed from that bar brawl, not nearly long or bloody enough, lol...
