Never liked her before, like her even less now. Can't believe the writers think the plight of Kim is really main storyline. There is no depth to her character, which might be the writers fault or their understanding of the potential of the actress.
Too much comedy sitcom rather than serious drama.
Try as I may, I can't relate to her at all.

I don't mind her as a character and actually find the actress perfectly acceptable. The issue I have is that Kim has ZERO chemistry with Vincent. They just don't work as a couple.

In terms of comedy, she's very slapstick which does grate some time.

She doesn't seem to have any special qualities. She doesn't know how to use a measuring tape, she can hardly walk without tripping over her feet, she can hardly talk coherently. Her only talent seems to be knowing how to wiggle her derriere, lounging on the sofa and standing up with a quizzical look.

Background character at best. Just shows that EE needs a character shake up and some new introductions.

I agree when you see an Actress like Tameka Empson being over used and somebody like Ann Mitchell being underused there is no justice.

Kim is just not funny at all and she is currently overexposed.

She improved a bit earlier this year, but DTC is taking her back to her old ways. Tameka's a decent actress but the comedy element needs be toned down.

And while we're at it, it's Denise who deserves far more spotlight. A much better character though with this police stuff it seems like we will be seeing more of her again.

she's a caricature, & it makes the show seem stupid. Plus I don't feel the chemistry between her & Vincent.

I agree she improved when she came back but she is back to her silly mode. I never laugh at Kim. I'd rather sit and pull my teeth out one by one with a pair of rusty pliers.

Despise Kim, would like to see her tortured by some of Vincent's thugs.

Thanks.

She seemed better when she came back and I thought becoming a Mother would have improved her, but she has gone back to acting daft again and OTT. I can take her in small doses like this, but not every episode as it feels like.

I've always thought she was acting her part for the comedic value in scenes. Then on the programme after the live episode in February, she took part in the quiz and showed that she was like two short planks. I'm now of the opinion she is acting at capacity.

There is so much nonsense written here regarding this character especially concerning her acting - she's actually very good and subtle when required relative to the rest of the cast and one of the most versatile.
She's charismatic and a nice contrast to her sister and they have an enjoyable and believable relationship. Shes made Denise more enjoyable too - she was too dour and without a solid relationship before kim arrived. In a similar way to what Shirley's extended family have done to her only on a smaller scale. Her little exasperated reactions to kims behaviour and problems and her concern is nice and lighthearted. She's just more natural and useful around her than others they involved her with like the Beales or Shirley. She's good with Carmel too so I guess fun upbeat characters giver her balance.

I think she's maybe the most versatile and enjoyable mainish black character they've created after Paul Trueman so long may she stay and get even more development and not be driven out by people who have issues with certain actors

Ann Mitchell is in her 70s and there are several elderly white female characters in this show

I think she's a natural sidekick character who they're trying to turn into a leading lady but it isn't working.

She used to be funny, now she's overused, badly written and being given crap stories. Kim/Vincent/Claudette is just torturous to watch, I hate all three of them. Vincent and Claudette need to bugger off immediately, and Kim to live with Denise, Patrick and Pearl again. She needs to be written more as a human being and less like an unfunny joke. I think the actress is capable and Kim really could be a good character but what they're doing with her now is awful.

Horrible excuse for comedy. She adds nothing to the show other than scenes you just want to cringe at. It's painful watching her now.

Her and Vincent just don't work. Him being the father of Pearl is fine but there is no way he would want a relationship with Kim.

I agree with this 100%. When Kim returned, stupid walk aside, she seemed more serious and I was glad. Unfortunately her sitcom style comedy has returned too. I don't think a man like Vincent would be with Kim either especially if he does turn out to be an undercover cop which would make him a more serious character. Her tape measure scene and the time she "interviewed" Ronnie are just pure cringe material. There is no spark between Kim and Vincent at all. I think they should split or even that Kim should move away. Denise is a good enough character to be without Kim. Kim ruins Denise and Vincent. Sometimes Richard Blackwood's comedian comes out in Vincent ie the silly faces he pulls, and I really don't like it. I don't want a Hubbard comedy duo, not at all. Also what on earth is going on with Claudette's accent? A lot of the time her real accent comes through and then in the same sentence or conversation a fake cockney accent comes out. She should just stick to one or the other. Surely the director would notice and correct this?
