Is there a pro on another version of Strict!y you would like to see as a pro on the UK show?

I'd like to see 6-time Dancing with the Stars champion Derek Hough on Strictly.

Yes, Derek! His crazy choreo wouldn't be as useful in the UK because it's way more traditional here than in the US where it's more showy, so it'd be good to see how he adapts.

I agree Derek Hough would show our pro's a thing or to about choreography when it comes to the more showy dances. Some of his previous dances on DWTS are just jaw droppingly amazing, his Paso's' for example, or the end of series Freestyle dances.

I would've loved to see Emma Slater but I don't see her leaving dwts either.

I'd like to see Val, Emma, Mark and maybe Sharna come over but I don't think any of them would leave DWTS. Also, I don't think any of them would be a good "fit" for Strictly if you know what I mean, apart maybe from Emma. The only experience I have with ballroom or latin is watching Strictly but it seems to me from watching the two shows that on DWTS they aren't as strict as over here. Their showdances would be amazing though.

I wouldn't want Derek but I'd LOVE Emma Slater! She was meant to join a few years ago wasn't she? I'd agree though she seems quite happy over in the US. I'd like to see Keo Motsepe from DWTS (preferably with a capable celeb). I think he was Oti's professional partner at some point?

I'd like to see Karina Smirnoff though.

Derek and Mark would be fine with UK style they trained and competed here - Derek could revive his old rivalry with Kevin. But all a pipe dream Derek is doing some acting isn't he and Mark his music

Emma would have been good on SCD but chose states due to Sasha - don't think they are together now but she seems settled where she is

I don't think Derek's choreography would translate very well over here - a Rumba with lifts and NO recognisable Rumba steps at all may be good on Dancing with the Stars, but Strictly seem to stick to the rules a lot more.

I'd like like to see Val and Sharna ... there's probably more but I only watched a few seasons and forget their names. I like Derek but I'm not sure I'd want him on Strictly.

I read that Derek might "sign on with the Weinstein Company to do Singing in the Rain on Broadway." (In quotes because I copied it from another message board and don't know anything more about it)

He's a good dancer- maybe have him for a guest appearance on the results show, but I couldn't watch him every week- too egotistical. And he seems only to want good celeb partners, which isn't what it's all about. I can just about tolerate Gleb's me-me-me-ness with his choreography, but we don't need any more like that.

I noticed I forgot to put why I'd like to see Derek on SCD and now I can't edit it so here we are!

My reason is as he is 6-time champ on DWS I'd like to see if he could cut it on SCD and be champ over here, just out of curiosity really.

It used to be more traditional here, but it's becoming more like DWTS.
