James Jordan said Neil had already auditioned for Strictly but they didn't pick him up - at least not for a celebrity pairing. But Tristan says he'll probably be on the show soon:

Tristan (Nov. 9): "I’m pretty sure you will all get to know him [Neil] a lot better soon enough. I don't think it will be too long before he is on the show competing. I think it’s important for the show to have more British dancers on, and there are a lot of them here who I’m sure the public would love."

Based on him already auditioning, I think Neil would be happy to give up some competitions in order to be on Strictly next year with a partner. And maybe, unlike with Trent, they'll hire his wife as well. She's petite and Asian-Russian so they might welcome some more ethnic diversity.

And I can't say for sure, but I don't think Gleb and family 'want' to be based in Hong Kong anymore. Gleb and wife were separated for a while because he had an affair while she was working on the Indian show (huge mess on social media! quel scandale!! his 'girlfriend' posted a youtube of them dancing in their underwear! well, probably Gleb's signature underwear - wish I'd kept that video which I'm sure has been deleted)... Anyway, during that awful time, Elena and their 3 year old moved back to Moscow. They reunited not too long before the Russian-DWTS jobs were secured - and now, they've moved on up to Strictly, where Elena said in an inteview, "Gleb is going to be the new Derek Hough."

And Gleb (I'm sure with Elena's help) is faithfully copying Derek's style with the big production type dance numbers, so maybe he will be. BTW, upthread kp2ni said Gleb might be on the DWTS tour. Really?? That's usually Mark, Val, and Artem (never Derek). Tristan does the "Ballroom with a Twist" tours which is what he'll be doing in December (along with Gleb and Elena).

Clutches imaginary pearls ....I knew the seperation/scandal with gleb and his wife and I remember how bad it was but I didn't know it was THAT bad. There was a talk about a video that the mistress posted but I didn't see it ; it was already deleted by the time I got to it.

Call me cynical but imo a lot of pros couples stay together for financial security or status ( being a household name, tour together. ......) I remember even reading some interviews about former pros about that in the past.
Also some pros marry as well for financial security.

Oh wow, edy! It was a contemporary dance with a lot of lifts - and there she was, in bra and underpants and him just in briefs - good grief! And on Twitter, Elena confronted the girl and said she'd destroyed their family (remember that?)

I do want to buy their relationship though - Elena quit doing the Indian DWTS in the middle of the series and went home to Russia. At first I thought she was ill, but then I found out about the affair. Since they got back together, they've seemed legit enough to me. I hope they're really together, mainly because of the little girl. I also think Gleb needs her and might tend to go off the rails when she's not there - mustn't say more than that but there's a bit more to it.

Yes I remember that. Mess. And she even posted instagram pics blasting them and that woman was a common friend.

I also remember Gleb completely deleting all of his social networks after that ...and from what I gather from the interview he gave to Voguerista from Puredwts ( she's like his n1, n1 fan and that was the ONLY contact that his fans could have with him since he decided to go incognito after his wife blasted him all over the Internet ) , his wife left to Russia with their little girl WITHOUT his consent and was making it difficult for him to see her. I clearly remember reading that interview. I don't know if since their " reconciliation ", they deleted that interview from their archives.
I mean it was just depressing to read. ..he was basically trying to find a concrete job in LA besides being in the troupe and he couldn't see his daughter. I do remember that his wife came to visit him in LA after a while. Just a mess.

Him Tristan and Elena are touring from the 23rd-27th Dec if I remember correctly.

Was a bit confused myself when I read about it. But s'all good, assuming Anita and Gleb make the finals (hopefully).

The final is on the 19th so I suppose it is doable but tiring.

Gleb routinely give them interviews during the year. He gave them a lot of interviews during his season on Russia a couple of months ago; continuously updating them of his progress throughout the competition. He gave them an interview before Strictly started and they also interviewed his wife as well ( ha...everyone is getting along now ).
It's a little bit like that group of fans the macmaniius something who always get exclusive Tristan interviews.

Tristan speaks with a strong Irish accent, I have no problem understanding him. It's actually lovely to hear he hasn't lost it despite living out of the country for so long. I would miss him, and his sense of humour. Yes he's laid back but he always seems happy, was very encouraging and positive with Jamelia and wasn't all about themselves like one or two other pros. Also I'm sure he's p'd off about what happened at the weekend but has the good grace to take it well. When Jamelia said she had performed 9 routines, and he quipped '18 times' it cracked me up.

So Tristan to stay please. And Pasha, my favourite. After that I'm not bothered but Natalie is my favourite female pro so I would like to see her back with a genuine contender, she deserves one.

Well I don't know all the ins and outs and politics of what's gone on before but, from what I've seen this year I imagine that.. Aljas, Pasha, Kevin, Aliona, Janette and Karen are all returning.

Ola obviously not.

Tristran I'd say possibly not, but I'd like to see him back.

Brendan, Natalie and Anton, maybe not or for one more series.

And I hope Gleb, Oti and Giovanni are back. Of the three I think Giovannis most definite, but hopefully Gleb and I'd love to see more of Oti

Of the males I think Aljaz and Brendan are the best dancers. Aljaz always stands out, while you get to appreciate Brendan's flair when he dances the professional routines.

Thank you so much for all that info. I didn't know all of that mainly because I don't watch DWTS other than some bits and bobs on the net so this is all news to me. What I posted is based on my personal perception of how he's come across this past two years. Based on what you posted about him and Caroline, I would be inclined to think that he can only get a bit more animated with a partner that genuinely loves dancing and learning to dance but I could be wrong, obvs.

And the Glebscandal? Better than Mexican telenovelas!
