I knew nothing about Jamelia before SCD so had no preconceived thoughts about her and thought she danced far better than she was given credit for. Better than all of those who went out before her. But now we are left with some pretty decent dancers who have large fan bases - so who should go? The one who danced the best in the DO? Or the one who is perceived to be more popular?”

If it were a proper dance competition, they wouldn't be able to "move the goal posts."

It's not, it's "The best light entertainment show on TV.," so the BBC do whatever they choose and the judges being on such a good number, won't rock the boat.
That's television for you.

Which makes all this controversy worthwhile. The beeb may think they are bigger than the viewers and can manipulate things as much as they like - but we, the license payers, will shout loud and lo-o-onnnggg.

Difficult, but it really would take say , Georgia, Helen, Jay or Kellie to miss up big time for Jamelia to dance better than them.

This is true. I think Jamelia could comfortably out-dance Katie, and possibly Anita too, so I'm pleased you didn't mention them.

With Katie, it depends on the dance (latin yes, ballroom probably no). Don't think, she ever danced better than Anita in my opinion.

And she out-danced Peter every week.
Just my opinion, of course, but I really do think that.

Some weeks yes (many weeks really, especially her last couple of dances), but I do query how you can possibly say that for the week Peter danced the Charleston.

I'm not a fan of the Charleston. It's probably my least favourite dance so it has to be really stunning ( Georgia & Giovanni, Natalie & Artem eg ) to interest me. Peter's certainly wasn't.
I've not been moved or even vaguely interested by any of his dances.
