Bruno's not in the country. Darcey's already been on the show. Craig... Dunno. I thought Len gave a good account and [I don't really care anyway] I believe him on the major points

This made me laugh .
He was flavour of the month and "the only honest one" until today. Now suddenly he has grown horns and cloven hooves and a tail just because he speaks "honestly" again and it does not gel with the conspiracy theories .
Oh thou fickle world .

How do you know he was being honest?

As someone who doesn't like Jamelia, her dance off was better than Peter (at least to my untrained eye). However, I and the judges disagree very often (well they don't know it, but we do), so I'm not surprised I'm disagreeing with them here. Len was right about one thing, the dance had only been two points apart in the main show, so it's not like the biggest surprise in history.

I think their explanation regarding the re-shoot made sense. I've taken part in one TV programme, and this is exactly what happened. It's TV and the Sunday show is not life.”

,
Me too, as an audience member we were asked to 👏 and cheer several times out of synch when watching a comedy show!

Ola started the ball rolling about how much Strictly is fixed even before Jamelia's dodgy exit on Saturday.

The BBC are desperately trying to counter any notion that it is fixed by making claims that are demonstrably untrue:

It was clear that Jamelia was the better dancer on Saturday.
It's clear that many of the judges remarks are scripted as they are on DWTS etc.

If they said it's just a light entertainment show and shouldn't be taken too seriously then it would be fine but pretending that it's something it isn't is likely to likely to leave a lot of people with egg on their faces.

I agree with that but boy are they spooked probably worried about the ratings which will be interesting and someone from production is going to explain the standing ovation which according to those there didn't happen..

There's no point getting angry at the BBC for picking Len. Using one of the other judges would be foolishness by the BBC. Len is head judge. Len doesn't have to defend his own judging so he can just talk about the how the judges work.

I guess this is the time to draw a line under the incident. Jamelia won't come back. The BBC are changing the judging a bit. If anyone is fixing things they know they have to be twice as careful from now on.

Because poster after poster hailed him as "The Most Honest Judge" for saying he would save jammy . But then that was up until an hour ago , lol.

Now it seems his halo has come crashing down to earth .

Yes, if they had saved Peter over say Jay, Georgia and maybe Anita then it would have been a big thing. It was close they voted accordingly.

As Bruno would say, a load of Bollocks, no explanation of the audience booing the judge's decisions, Darcey's head in her hands washed over, the two point difference shouldn't come into the dance off and Jamilia improved upon her dance Peter did not.

Well this was about fossils, and one of the scientiests was asked to pretend to find a fossil over and over again and to act surprised each single time until the shot was finished. It destroyed my illusions.

Anyway, in result show, it's quite obvious that they are re-recording things, no big deal. Everyone is singing Jamelia's praises for speaking, when in fact, there is some dignity in keeping your mouth shut.

As head judge Len was the ideal spokesperson for Saturday's shambles.

The BBC clearly thinks that Jamelia's claims about a fix are a PR disaster otherwise they wouldn't have wheeled Len out in an attempt to close the stable door after the horse has bolted.

People can decide for themselves whose version of events they believe.

Ummm, but if an angelic being falls, he falls utterly. The halo becomes mortal too.
I think you'll find.

Should there be a poll?

Lovely mix of contrbutors to the forum including non trained dancers medalist dancers and active or retired competition dancers and even the odd teachers

As a one off in the cold light of day the DO judgement we all witnessed last Saturday was never a judgement made on the performance offered by the two contestants

The final insult would be for Len or others to infer we did not understand that which we clearly witnessed,

If Len genuinly believes those judges voted on the DO performances they (and we) witnessed then it is imperative we recruit some quailifed judges

Finnally Len please do not assume that we are not (well) qualified to be disgusted talking down to us would be the final insult
