I think the claim was that the audience reaction was re-shot, not the entire dance. Someone has suggested they could have re-filmed the end section of the dance along with the 'improved' audience response, and that is what is shown in the long shot, but that would be quite complicated to do and in any case, the camera long shot shows exactly what the programme showed before the cut away.
So either it's all very carefully, expertly and unseamably faked, from more than one set of footage, to what end is unknown, or the long shot is the genuine article. I go for the latter.






There was a SO to the right but very delayed and probably filtered down from Peter's friends and family who are further off the screen to the right. It certainly wasn't spontaneous and I don't know why they bothered reshooting to be honest since in the DO they don't pan to that section of the audience anyway,.
