I like Zoe and she is excellent on ITT (if only they could get rid of Hardy and Waite it would be a great programme). But I don't think she would be as disciplined in the main presenter role on SCD which Tess does well, keeping it running on schedule. I remember Zoe doing the live Doctor Who launch programme and it was a complete disaster, not all her fault but she was partly to blame.

I like Tess, she is a stand up profesional, but in a way that's the problem.

I like Tess. She does a good job in my opinion.

Of course, people are going to disagree with this and that"s fine, but once you start going down the personal insult road (plank of wood etc) then that"s where you nullify your view.

What are we on these boards, 10 years old? Dear god, it's worse than being ina primary school playground at times.

I think it's OK to poke a bit fun a Tess's failings, some are quite cringeworthy, but it's not OK to be offensive towards her.

She must be commended, as she spent years keeping the old codger in line and the show to time, even to the extent that the old fool wasted so much of it trying to constantly draw attention to himself, she had then to read the auto-cue at "lightning speed" to make up the wasted time, which she usually accomplished faultlessly.

She does an adequate job.

Save us from another "high profile expensive personality presenter," who'd also like the last try to make it "his show."

"Nice to see the back of you. To see the back of you, nice!"

I agree with almost all of this.

The exception is that I think she does a more than adequate job; not outstanding, but certainly more than adequate. Also I have never seen a suggested replacement put forward that I would prefer.

I think the best part of the show is the stunning girl next looking Aliona Vilani and I really hope she and jay win outright.
Tess is just abysmal and I seriously don't know how she got the job.”

I agree with you about aliona....LOVERLY!
BUT disagree with you strongly about Tess.....she held brucie upright for 5 years, and is a much better front girl than emma bloody willis, hollow willowby, and caroline flack...who is bloody awful on XF!!

I can appreciate those who say Olly Wannabe sucks, this is a guy so desperate for media attention that he would appear on a show about horse manure, but why the bad vibes about the lovely caroline

The worst thing about Strictly at the moment are Digital Spy Strictly forums which are basically used as a an excuse to abuse presenters, judges and contestants. From their personality to their appearance, lovely!!!
Much prefer intelligent discussion about the show and performances rather than witch hunts. This forum has changed a lot in the past few years.

Tess, Claudia and Zoe all do their respective jobs on the show, well.

I hardly think that's a fair appraisal, you get a lot of abuse on many forums, why do you expect this one should be different?
I've been posting on here a hell of a lot longer and therefore far more frequently than have you and I don't see a major problem.
There's quite a few knowledgeable people who post on here and others like myself who have in their lifetime enjoyed participating in ballroom dancing.
I would suggest, most of the comments are from people who like the programme but are not blind to the faults and inconsistencies and they've every right to express their opinions.

Of course these can be like a "red rag to a bull" to some, if the opinion expressed doesn't concur with their own. Some take "personally, a criticism of their favourite."
I could never see the sense in that.

For everyone who doesn't like a general comment on some aspect of the show or its contestants, as long as it makes no reference to them, they like yourself can just scroll down.

She isn't 'it's all about me' Brucie...that's good enough for me.

I appreciate knowledgeable comment from people like yourself, it's the personal things that offend me. There was a post the other day making fun of Kellie because of her small chest and there's a lot of personal stuff about Tess on here including comment about her accent. Just think personal criticism is not necessary.

I've got to hold my hands up over comments on Tess's accent.
I've worked around the Manchester area for a few decades. There are all sorts of regional dialects which differ slightly, as there are in London.
My criticism of Tess is that her "norther vowel sounds," are not always in evidence.

When speaking slowly to camera and often when making a "dramatic" announcement they can be quite pronounced. But in conversations with other people and when reading the auto-cue quickly, they seem to disappear. Accents tend to change if you don't live in the same area all the time, they soften.
I think they are used more for effect. Presenters are often looking for some ways to make them seem different from others.

The worst offender in my opinion for using an "affected accent," is Neil Oliver from "Coast." Catch an early different documentary in which he takes a minor part and there's very little trace of his Scottish accent.
Now I joke that if it gets any broader we're going to need subtitles!

No, I don't believe she is. While I prefer Claudia & even Zoe, I really don't get the dislike of Tess.

Don't find Tess to bad myself, but Winkleman is probably the most annoying person on TV right now. Should have Zoe in her role.
