Hoping someone will be able to help me out.

Last few days my battery has died during night. Last night 11pm when went bed was 90%, I woke up at 4.45am and was only at 15% and no doubt would been all gone by time alarm was due to go off (as happened the previous night)

Always used to drop by say 10% but never like this. I close everything down before going bed and don't think I have done anything different.

Any advice?

Restore in iTunes.

Have you updated any apps lately? My 5 did this after I updated the browser app. For some reason it caused massive battery drain. Uninstalled and it went back to normal.

Have you had it since new, as in since Apple released it? If so its a four year old phone and battery can drop off quite quickly.

Sorry, what do you mean restore iTunes? Delete it? If so not sure I can do that?

Yes, think updated some the other week. In fact just been into app store and now 12 more updates due, I do need to ask kids which ones I can get rid of.

No bought it about a year ago 2nd hand. It isn't massive issue will just charge it up over night where as don't at the minute. Was just surprised started happening so rapidly.

You can use iTunes to backup and restore the phone. It usually sorts any background software issues that may be causing the battery drain.

Unfortunately it also could be any of he apps that have updated.

Or it could just be the battery is done. If a restore doesn't help you could make an appointment with Apple and ask them to test the battery. They will be able to tell you if it's that the battery is done or if it's software related. Ie an app update. They may actually be able to run a diagnostic via email if you go to live chat support. I've had them do that before.

But if it were me the first thing I'd do is a restore via iTunes.
