I can't see a valid reason!

I'd like somebody to post a transcipt, but I think the essence of it was that he thought it to be demeaning.

I think it was something like that.

Too posh to serve Tony. Beneath your station in life? What a snob lol.

Excluding injury, what would be a valid reason?

He found it degrading? He's lazy? He doesn't like Lady C?

He's said its "not me" to serve anybody. And yet Lady C is supposed to be the camp snob.
He's a big lazy lump, always sitting on his a*se or lying down whilst making pronouncements on they types of things women are good at. I hope Lady C rips him a new one again tonight. She cusses them out like only a Jamaican can

it was the way every one jumped to his defence, especially snakey Susannah that made me laugh

I notice that Duncan didn't take issue with Tony looking down at a servant for being a lowly human being.

Very good point

It surprised me how the rest of the camp immediately supported his decision, we will never know if he would have done it for a different group.

It certainly reminded me of his comment where he said "I'm not being funny, but I think a couple of women will be better at washing".
Perhaps he thinks that as it's not for him then it's a job for one of the women?

Let's hope the next restaurant they go to the waitress/waiter says 'get it yourself'

The job was beneath him...suitable for only women.

I suspect it's because he doesn't like Lady C.
Not that the job is womans work.

Ah, I was wondering on another thread. I remember Tony saying it wasn't his thing (at the time of the request) but did any of them explain the reason to the other 3 on their return? It seems to me the 3 tried to explain their rationale but the others didn't even try?

They tried to, Kieron started to explain why they chose who they did, to which Brian responded by pulling sarcastic faces.
Then Chris tried to explain, but before he could even finish his sentence he was accused by somebody of trying to split the camp.

It was as if the main group didn't recognise the fact that they were asked by the show as part of the task to choose somebody.

I wonder what Tony thinks of the real 'little people' who work on the show, for example the people who actually did end up serving Lady C, Chris, and Kieron while they had their meal. Probably the same people who hand the celebrities glasses of champagne and who cooked up that massive feast some of the group had earlier on in the show.

I have a feeling that not everyone supported his decision but kept quiet to keep the peace. He didn't really give them much choice did he? Kind of made the decision and then said is everyone ok with that. No point arguing against him once he had made the decision.

I think it's more to do with Lady C refusing to do a task that benefited everyone because she didn't want to.
So why should he do a task that benefits her if he doesn't want to?
They both loathe each other anyway.

He doesn't have to. If a celebrity doesn't want to do something then that's up to them. But it is a question about whether anyone thinks the reasoning for not taking part in a task is a valid one or not.

It doesn't need to be valid though does it as you say he isn't required to take part.
People say lots of things,it doesn't necessarily make them true.

I got that impression too. I'm starting to think that he's the only one who knows why they didn't do the task. None of them are exactly rushing forward to offer an explanation on his behalf, are they?
