That's how I see it anyway.”

That's my take on it also, it wasn't homophobic based.

Charming remark, hoping older people will die off soon

What is it with the ridiculous claims of homophobic comments about Lady C, next someone will be claiming homophobic comments have been made about Brian.

Colin is a man though.

Sick if him.

I think you need to do some research about Lady Colin Campbell try Wikipedia.

No she's not. She's not even a transexual, she's a XX woman, like all women.

They probably consider it a great achievement in their life.

Oh. My. God.

It's one thing to turn the TV on watch her, see her name and make this kind of ignorant assumption, but if you're going to come on a forum and post about it at least take 2 seconds to get your facts straight.

I don't know if this is just hilariously ignorant or if it's supposed to be funny or clever.
Why would someone go to the effort of a sex change, but keep the name Colin and just stick Lady in front 'that's right, I'm still Colin but I'm a lady now'

Especially given that her name is Georgia...

My girlfriend regularly makes the same remark in jest at herself when I tease her for being a bit hoity-toity. She's definitely not a man in drag.

I think the OP really needs to stop being glued to the telly/Daily Mail ad get out more.

As I wasn't aware of Lady C's background, so yes that's what struck me more than anything.
His whole demeanor and attitude was saying "Look at me and my gang around me..... I'm the boss..... I'm your boss".

You can tell that he gets off on power.

Just like your own opinion is conjecture.
Most opinions on here are. it doesn't necessarily mean that they're wrong.

I'm not sure myself, but the Kenny Everett manner of crossing of his legs (Of which he's an age who would clearly remember that) AND the 'I'm a laydee' comment together doesn't convince me that he wasn't taking a potshot at her previous gender issues.

He might not have been, but I think he should have some awareness of how he's behaving and coming across.

As far as I'm concerned, whether Lady C is behaving badly or not, he certainly loves to see everyone pile onto an individual and try to cause them distress. It's quite an ugly sight to behold.
He laughs like a lunatic when he thinks he might have upset Lady C. He's just horrible.
I don't know if he thinks he's being funny but it's the sort of behaviour you'd expect to see in the school playground.

I think you've missed key elements here though. It was another person making the jibe at Lady C who did have a gender issue after she was born. I'm not saying therefore Duncan definitely was having a pop at her for and because of her background but I don't see how your girlfriend's example helps to prove that Duncan wasn't being deliberately provocative

The leg crossing was from Kenny Everett character who was also a man in drag. As Lady C was brought up as a boy until her teen years, this was a direct and disgusting homophobic jibe directed at her. Duncan would have been thrown out if he'd have behaved like this with anyone else. I'm disgusted that ITV would condone this.

For all Lady C's insults, she never once stooped so low as to mock Brians sexuality during her argument with him. Duncan should have been asked to leave, I doubt he would have got away with this on BB.”

Yes he was disgusting and so were the people who found him amusing. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and if he has got away with it, that's just plain wrong. How long had that untruth had been festering in his warped mind? I wonder if she realised his implication. I don't think she did because she certainly would have reacted. He's certainly proving to be a nasty insecure man.

Yes, her ex husband Colin is a man. Lady C is a woman who was born with fused labia, something which is surgically repaired at birth now.

Much as I dislike Duncan Bannatyne & found the whole thing unfunny & cringe worthy, I don't believe it had anything to do with Lady C's past (would he even be aware of it) it was, imo, him showing off & attempting but failing to be funny in front of the other camp mates regarding Lady C's title.

My point was that people us that expression/impression all the time and they're not always over-analysing it so deeply to use it specifically because the original character was a man in drag!

If is far more often used to tease someone about their 'high and mighty' ideas of themselves. That's all. Nothing to do with sexuality, drag, fused labia, LGBT or anything else!!!

Honestly, there seem to be so many people on here who have absolutely nothing better to do with their time than over-analyse and look for offence in things that simply isn't there.

I suppose it could be seen by some as a reference to her problems at birth, I think it was more jus taking the pi** in regard to the Lady title.

The remark I was far more disgusted with and was not mentioned on the show by Ant & Dec or on get me Out of Here was from Brian looking over at Kieron and Lady C

"wait till he cracks then go in for the kill"

Now whether he meant for Kieron or for Lady C if she had no back up I don't know but either way it showed him up to be a nasty little man

My take on the just the one viewing was that he said they should wait for Kieron to crack and then Yvette and Susannah could go in for the kill on Lady C when she was finally isolated.

He's very brave, our Brian.

I know who I think would end up being killed if it ever came to pass.

To be fair you've described yourself there I don't believe Duncan did consciously mean offence in the way it has been described on here and I have already said that. Even in my reply to you I said I didn't think it definitely meant that. I just pointed out that because your girlfriend says it in the way you described that doesn't mean Duncan didn't mean offence by it, the situations aren't comparable. That is all

I didn't over analyse anything. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when he did it. Insultingly using two male characters in drag just to cruelly mock her. I also don't believe he doesn't know her history and the abuse she suffered growing up, it's very well documented. They all have a good idea of who's going in there with them and he certainly knows other things about her. I also think his chip on each shoulder makes him very jealous of her wealth and background.
