I love Lady C too! She's got them all bang to rights! I love her descriptions of her camp-mates - all spot on! Her summing up of Tony particularly amusing 'hasn't got two thoughts'. Long may she stay!
Lady C is a pretentious old bag, but the show would be less entertaining if she wasn't in it. Thing is, she is only entertaining you by being a nasty bitch to everyone in there who doesn't treat her like a queen.
She doesn't deserve to win, but I can see her lasting a while yet.

Yes she is horrid and a total bitch but her unbelievable arrogance is entertaining in a car crash kind of way, but no way should she win.

Tony was having a go at her for refusing to do a trial yet he was like a big spoilt kid last night for refusing to be the bellboy.”
She should have said to him "Well if you feel hungry why don't you use some of those dingo dollars to fill up your belly. Oh no, that's right, you squandered them all away without a thought for others."

I can't believe how many people are still willing to tug the forelock to an outdated notion that aristocracy is to be respected no matter how vile.”
I think that is why so many people on here support her. It is amazing that in the 21st century that people still feel that they are inferior to the likes of Lady C. If she was from a middle class or God help a working class background she would have been shot down in flames as vile and foul mouthed.
But then again she married into aristocracy so she is not one of them. I gather her family were merchants which is a class of people she would look down on. So really she is an old fraud.

Goodness, what a big assumption. I couldn't give a toss what she calls herself, and certainly consider myself anyone's equal. The truth is that she's been the most entertaining campmate, without her we'd be watching a bunch of crashing bores fighting over getting a bunch of twigs on their head. I'll have forgotten them all in a couple of weeks.

I rather think "aristocracy" is stetching the definition somewhat, but she is a jolly good jape and has made the lion's share of the entertainment on the show.

I don't think anyone is tugging their forelock. If that were the case people would be fawning over Susannah Constantine - wealthy background, privately educated, dating royalty, hunting and shooting, blah blah blah - and yet no one is the slightest bit interested in her. It's because Lady C has character - lovable or detestable - she certainly has a personality.
