People say some such amusing and nonsensical things on this forum.
"Tunnel hearing," appears to be endemic amongst many. |

Oh the shouter... and to answer the OP, Gaga's last album wasn't that great so therefore music actually thrived without her then and it will now.

and yet Artpop and Cheek To Cheek came and went in an instant. The music wasn't alive there.

Is it time to close the Music section altogether?

I genuinely believe Gaga's best days are very much behind her. Gimmicks only last for a short while. Which is not to say I don't think she isn't a very talented musician because she is.

I guess it depends on the music. If she releases another quality album ala The Fame (Monster) then maybe, but other than that I doubt it. Me, I'm waiting for Britney's new album to slay us all

Rumour has it she's been in the studio with Mark Ronson so if that rumour is true then hopefully they can come up with something really good.

I think she has peaked & is on a downwards trajectory. I may be wrong. Either way her next album is vitally important-she can't stuff this one up! |

I think she will be like Cyndi Lauper. Cyndi's music sales hit the skids by her third album but despite that, she still manages grammy nominations, acclaim from critics and sell out tours. I think that will be Gaga. She will be like a cult artist.

No we have Saint Adele and that's all we need. Other artists need not apply.

The only thing that's dead is Gaga's standing as a major pop star. Her next album will no doubt be her epitaph

It happened at the 2012 Grammys (also known as the night they coronated Adele). Gaga had the tight netting on her face and underneath her makeup was smeared like a sad clown. And she was irrelevant at that moment. Like what I imagine Joan Crawford went through. She is too talented to be done. She needs to stop believing her hype and scale it back to the music again. The world has left her schtick behind. Latching on to Tony has probably helped remind people she can sing, so thats good.
Paparazzi video is still so good. Guess we will see what happens next for her. |

I was a huge GaGa fan initially.
However,The Fame Monster was a long time ago and nothing she has done since has matched it. |
