Lady C - don't like her but pity her.

I have to admit I wasn't that familiar with her background before this so I've since researched it.

Obviously her relationship with her mother and her bizarre start in life have shaped the person she is today.

Clearly she has issues and these issues have made her into a spiteful, arrogant woman, also extremely deluded as to her social status.

However, as much as she is "TV gold" and lots of us laugh and also rant at her antics, I do feel sorry for what she is setting herself up for.

Prior to IMACGMOOH I'm assuming she had a certain level of respect from people, not because she carries on with the "Lady" title, but because of her being a mother/author etc.

However, this programme is not portraying her in a good light, not now anyway.

I just feel bad for her at the potential backlash from the media and possibly from some of her social circle when she leaves the jungle.

As vile as she is being, she is what she is and I don't think she should remain there any longer.

That she doesn't.

What you see is what you get. Like it or not, you know where you stand with Lady C.

She's great. IMO of course.

They're talking about her on The Wright Stuff now.

That's my point. I quite agree. I don't like it but I also don't like to think about the reception she will get after the show.

No she does the whispering in plain view of the cameras, maybe she knows it can be heard maybe she doesn't, she certainly doesn't care either way.

She'll be fine. It's quite surprising how many are in Lady C's corner (at the moment).

If I were Tony, Duncan and Brian I'd be more worried about what reception they'd be getting when they leave the show.

Armholes those three, complete and utter armholes.

She's used to being an outspoken and controversial figure. It's how she makes her money.

I don't believe for 1 minute that Lady C wouldn't say anything that she's said on the show in real life, or to anyone's face. I like her, she's honest.
I think any friends or family she has, or more importantly anyone she cares about, already knows what like she is.

I don't think you need to worry about that, she has a lot of people who like her here, there's no need to think that won't be the same on the outside .

That's another thing, I don't have the first clue as to why anyone would like her.

short reply:
She's been on TV before -she was quite willing to be portrayed as an uber snob then so I dont think she'd be too bothered.

Longer version
I saw her on something like "you cant get the staff". I think it was a C4 type thing where young people were encouraged to try service as a career- butlering, being a maid etc for old nobs-obviously all the real service jobs are for the financial elite nowadays but it was much better telly to pretend there are still aristo's living like Downton. She hosted a dinner party for her friends that one of the young lads served at. The dinner party friends looked like central casting's version of every inbred eccentric toff you ever read about-seriously, they all looked physically strange and comical. She's trying to save a very old house which is a well-known financially ruinous thing to do, she needs the money but she's doing it on her terms and for that I salute her.

She speaks her mind and not behind your back, she's articulate with a fabulous vocabulary, witty, intelligent, amusing, strong and determined, a good friend to those who are fair with her..

But is it better to leave at the lowest ebb, or to wait on the chance of the edit improving? The pendulum could easily swing with Lady C.

Possibly, although I think the damage is done and she seems to be getting more spiteful, so the only way the edit could work in her favour is if they didn't show her at all. (IMO)

She's been around for decades...the media have always known about her.......you don't write about Princess Diana and then seek a low profile.

There was a link in the forums here somewhere to a US show from the 90's interviewing Andrew Morton and Lady C about their books on Princess Diana...and she was exactly the same on there as she is in the jungle.

In fact Andrew Morton came across as a smug idiot, and Lady C even there, had an eccentric-ness about her as well as an honesty in what she was saying.......

Even the tabloids love an eccentric......and she'll be snapped up by the newspapers in an instant. Someone will give her a column to write.......maybe an agony aunt or something!!!?

She'll be fine, and she'll lap up all the attention too. And good for her I say.
