Yes Indeed. You could move the old white Box(if you have) into another room and use the new Black one and connect to the router. Simply apply the voucher in Entertainment.

This is an Amazon offer and if you look passes are available to buy and most likely have come from a NOW TV box

It was a national thing for Black Friday, they are keeping the offer going until they are out of stock.

As far as I know, no. You need to create a Now TV account, and hand them some sort of payment method.

That said, there is no obligation at all to pay for anything, and you can access all the free content, entirely free. Sky won't hassle you at all.

You need a now tv account for their content and to access the free Sky Sports News HQ (i.e. HD) channel, but I think you can access the non-NowTV catch-up services from BBC, ITV, Ch4, etc without an active account. Not sure if you can do that as soon as you plug in the box without setting up an account though.

Picked up a box with the 2 sport passes from Argos last weekend (£14 same as other places during black friday weekend), then bagged another when it appeared on Amazon's lightening deals for only £9.99, less than 2 sport passes cost!

Me and my brother have the white boxes but will upgrade to these black ones so can use wired network for more reliability. Also has 1080p though most content (including all of Sky's) is only 720p at moment, maybe that will change soon.

We already have the movie and entertainment subs (we share one account and therefore the cost as you can watch on two boxes/devices at the same time) so the sport passes are ideal for us.

I've got two boxes and use them for live TV (BBC, ITV and Sky News) in the kitchen and bedroom as we have no Freeview signaI. We gave the vouchers to friends as we’ve got the full Sky package via satellite.

The catch up services are free.

Set an account up with the first box, which works with the second, but have never paid a penny.

Sky Sports News HQ is pay. You need a movies pass, entertainment pass, or a sports pass used within the past 30 days.

Is Now TV doing well, due to the sheer volume of boxes around and the apps on TV; or is it doing badly as there always seems to be tons of offers?

Thinking maybe it's time BT (and especially BT Sport) got themselves on NowTV or even their own box independent of their broadband, or they will get to a point where they aren't adding any more subscribers?

The offers are to flood the marketplace with their box which they do at a loss in the hope will stop subscribers to amazon and Netflix in the long term as they don't carry their apps. Thus making Now TV the long term viable option.

There does seem to be a lot of promos around, always something going on. Seen today on another site that the mail newspaper has a promo for a free sports day pass. There's been similar free passes with Carling and Pringles.

I'm sure NowTV is cannibalising Sky's premium satellite sales but they must think it's worth doing. I am expecting them to bump up the prices once sufficient numbers have moved over, or charge extra for HD and other add-ons like they do on their satellite offerings.

Now TV doesn't force contracts, bundles and is cost effective. If they increased the prices, people will leave again.

Having beeng a long term subscriber to SKY, I recently cancelled my TV subscription due to the constant price increases and the fact my box is 5 years old and on it's last legs. I have been subscribing to Netflix since January and the family and I have been enjoying it. However, I felt it lacked some big titles. Great for first run shows etc.
Last weekend I decided to give NOW TV a try. I actually find it a lot better than netflix. It's easier to navigate and also for £6.99 you get the pretty much the main channels which show the best shows in my opinion. I also signed up for the 14 day trial of the movies just for the festive period, and even that is better value for money than the standard sky movie channel package.
I've just purchased a now tv box at argos with 3 months entertainment as well as I was using the PS3 in the living room to watch it. With an argos gift voucher i managed to get the box for £9.99. Pretty happy.

I suspect a lot of long term SKY customers will be heading in the NOW TV direction.

I was going to go that way...but Sky offered me a deal to stay which I was happy with...will stay with Sky if I get another deal, otherwise Now TV offers me most of what I watch.

I have cancelled Netflix because I wasn't too keen on the choice. Whilst in Currys Digital, Newcastle yesterday I bought a 3 months Movies Pass for £25, and looking through the list, the choice is much better for me, and it seems pretty good value too.
