to be very fair , we need to here his side of the story ,
I expect ITT will wheel him out ,like they did Len

But with his PR, it will blame on other people not Peter.

Other than your opinion of your fellow posters, do you have an opinion on the thread topic?

I think PA's laziness is more than a tad apparent.”

I have no opinion on fellow posters have I stated that I have, mine was just a comment it was another Peter thread that's all,and it's bound to end as they all do.As for the thread topic Peter did 4 hours training and the reason he was busy.

It's been quite evident that the BBC have difficulty getting high profile people to appear on this show for quite some time.

The general standard of performance has become so high. It's got to be someone with pretty much "naff all," to do for nearly four months before Christmas and are willing to put in a lot of hard work. It isn't like "swanning on to the stage on CIN night.".
For many in the entertainment industry it's their busy time.
They do use a sprinkling of BBC employed staff every year and ITV aren't averse to having some of their stars appear, it's all good publicity for their relative shows.

In the case of Peter Andre, I think he "makes work" for himself riding on the back of Strictly, thus ending up last week with little time to do for what he's being paid.

One wonders why the BBC don't stipulate a minimum number of hours for which these people must commit, regardless of other work, but maybe they're so desperate to get "names" they don't bother?

For me it's like "taking money under false pretenses," if the situation is constantly abused. Let's hope for the programme's and particularly Janette's sake, he puts in a full week, this week.

I'm sorry but 4 hours is a mickey take out of your pro.

he isn't contracted on a show like the Beeb girls.

I really don't think his work is a fair excuse to only do 4 hours.

If you can't commit and take the show seriously don't bother. It's just an insult to the person putting all the work in to try and help you look your best.

I absolutely agree with you about this - I feel so sorry for Janette having to deal with this from Pondray - it is so out of order!!

Fair enough, "Johnners" used to talk about "Neighbours."

He is far too busy promoting himself to actually bother with the training it seem's. It makes me very cross tbh even though I doubt he would improve much......but it really is an insult to his pro dancer, no wonder her choreography is so bad as she has limited time and can only teach him on a very easy and basic level.

Shame on him if he thinks he only has to turn up, mind you the judges have treated him very well with his scores so it gives him the red light to carry in the same vein. It gives much more credence to it all being fixed in his favour.
Poor Janette.

Hmmm. How will his PR team be spinning this one?

Perhaps he was too traumatised by the Jamelia incident to face the training room. Being such a sensitive soul.

Will he have time to turn up this Saturday? Or will the judges award him marks based on past performances?

Sorry, I can no longer take this show too seriously, not that I did much before.

Perhaps if PA spent less time appearing on This Morning and other non important shows he might have more time. And spare us unsuspecting viewers from having unannounced sightings of this orange twerp!

Peter Andre in the dance-off

Now there was a lot of talk about the dance-off this week! Unfortunately it was Peter’s weakest dance and probably Jamelia’s best. I personally know that Peter was extremely busy that week with his other commitments. He had four hours to produce that dance which wasn’t ideal at all, especially for Blackpool!

Nice to see he is very committed to Strictly.....”

Dear Ms Rihanoff,

I don't give a toss how "busy" Peter was, especially when those "other commitments" are nothing more than celebrity pimping. This is no more an acceptable excuse than "The dog ate my homework". Peter's dance was rubbish and Jamelia's dance was significantly better. That is all that concerns me.

I really hope so too - from his training though, his foxtrot AS looks very bad indeed

just shows how talented Peter is for achieving two 8's from Len & Bruno
in 4 hours worth of training quite remarkable

Reading between the lines on Janette's twitter I suspect you're right...and that she's basically resigned to them being voted off this week (and quite possibly a little relieved as well at the thought...)

He had four hours training for his dance.

He's had 20 years of training in how to pull the wool over people's eyes over how much talent/charisma he has.

Especially since someone like Helen has never received a mark higher then that from Len all series.

I would imagine KR felt the need to put it out there that Janette only had 4 hours to train, learn and get it right with PA this week. Perhaps she didn't appreciate some PA fans and others casting aspersions on Janette's choreography and teaching abilities. The girl can only to her best with the tools she is given.

I've put a few posts out this week on different threads about the whole 'fixing' scandal and in every one of them I defended Peter and Janette saying it was not their fault and everyone should blame the producers, I still believe that, however after hearing this (and we really have no reason to doubt Kristina's word on this as she probably got it straight from Janette) how can anyone still back Peter? Four hours?! Janette must be pulling her hair out in frustration. She probably thought she had it made this year when she got Peter, but I wonder how long it took her to realise she wasn't going to get her moneys worth out of him?

As to contractual hours that some people have mentioned here, well its probably like their pay. If they are a big enough name, or have a good PR firm behind them, they probably get better money for less hours. Now I have read peoples posts on DS saying how we are going over the top blaming Peters all powerful PR firm, etc, etc, but if they are any good at all they will fight for the best contractual deal they can for their client and I am sure Peter wants the money for not many hours ... or at least that's how it now seems.

I really think Janette has been trying her hardest to cover for Peter for a while now. That amazing Charleston they did, when you look at it its mostly Janette going out of her way to get people attention. She is absolutely incredible in that dance and puts 150% energy into it and when I watch it I can't help focusing on her rather than Peter, but if you can you notice that really he didn't put in that good a Charleston, just mediocre, but thanks to Janette they got away with it.

I notice that although we're already on page 3 of this thread even the usual Peter defenders are either siding with the majority in outrage or keeping quiet

Agree totally. And Aliona did say you could get away with murder in the Charleston

Imo PA is lazy. I think he is finding learning to dance properly much more difficult than he imagined. I suspect he is losing interest now, especially now that they have to learn two dances.

'Work' for Peter Andre is usually 10 cups of coffee then being driven to LW or TM for a chat, then maybe a voiceover for Iceland in a nice warm studio, then a helicopter ride to turn on some Festive lights.

I can see how he would find this dancing stuff taxing. It actually involves hard work and dedication.

Poor Janette.

2 points for each hours work.
That's what I call an efficient work rate!
