Hi

As the thread title suggests. Can anyone recommend an edge to edge iPhone 6S Screen Protector?

Thanks

Hello mate, you after a glass or plastic one? I don't like the glass ones simply because I don't want to add any weight so I got a plastic one, I couldn't even tell you what brand as I got it from "that bloke" on the market stall for £3! I fitted it myself in a few mins at home, And that was my first attempt at fitting one, no bubbles either which I was quite chuffed about.

I don't think it really matters which one you go for they will all protect your screen.

Little tip if you do it yourself, make sure the screen is super clean and free of dust, use some strips of sellotape to go over the screen to grabs bits you can't see, should go on nicely then.

Hi

I did buy an Anker Tempered Glass (9H) screen protector but it didn't completely cover the screen so I was worried about the few millimetres of the screen thats not protected, even with a case on it.

This is the case and screen protector I'd bought:

As far as I know most are probably going to leave a few mm's of the screen uncovered, they maybe ones out there that do cover the whole front of the screen, maybe someone else will come along and suggest something.

To be honest with you though, it should be fine with that case and screen protector though, I mean I used my old iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 with no screen protection what so ever, I keep it in my pocket all day at work and when I sold them I couldn't see a single mark on the screens. I do take care though, like only putting my phone in my right pocket with nothing else in there but the phone, then keys/change in left pocket, worked for me. But when I got my nice shiney new 6S I wanted to cover the screen so just got a cheap plastic one and its doing the job.

If your paranoid or abit clumsy then maybe it's worth finding a bigger screen protector, but otherwise I'd be very surprised if you managed to put a scratch on the few mm edges that's not covered.

What you'll get in any pocket though is minuscule amounts of sand and that will scratch any screen very easily.

Search fir 2.5d tempered glass, that is the spec needed to cover the screen adequately.

I don't. When washing trousers you turn the pockets inside out, that cleans out any debris.

I don't understand how people scratch the screen on their phones. My last few phones have gorilla glass, and they have been flawless after 1-2 years.

Yes, if you're stupid enough to put car keys in the same pocket as your phone, then you will have problems. If you put it in a pocket with nothing else I don't see why you need a screen protector at all. I have a thin flexible case to stop the back getting scratches, and it just covers the curved edges of the screen on the iPhone 6 Plus. It's all you need IMHO.

Hi

That screen protector is for the iPhone 6 not iPhone 6S. As the 6S is slightly wider I fail to see how it would cover it adequately :-S

Thanks

Keys won't scratch any screen.

Sand and lint will get in your pocket from the air and from your hands, etc.

It is physically impossible to have a pocket compositely clear of all particles.

If you look very carefully I think you'll see micro-scratches on most smartphone screens for this reason.

Under a microscope maybe, I've checked previous phones under a bright light before selling, couldn't see any just looking closely. Good enough for me!

I haven't used a screen protector in years, the last phone with one was my iPhone 4. I carry my phone in a pocket every day of the week and have never had a scratched screen.

In fact, when I sold my iPhone 6 in August the guy actually checked the screen with a torch and magnifying glass (yes, surprised me too) and couldn't find fault, I had advertised the phone as being in as new condition, I think he was just trying to find something to use as a bargaining chip (which he didn't).

You might want to check out mac rumours forum 'iPhone accessories' section.

The Godosmith ice max seems to be the best full screen protector. But there's a few threads with pics and reviews.

The godosmith isn't available in the UK though so would have to be ordered from China.

Screen protectors for the 6 will fit the 6s just fine.

6 dimensions - 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm

6s dimensions - 138.1 x 67 x 7.1 mm

The 6s is slightly thicker. Not wider.

Yes because most protectors won't cover the entire screen unless it specifically states it's full screen. Because the glass curves. So the vast majority will leave a few mm gap starting where the glass curves.

It won't fit the 6 perfectly either. But it will fit the 6 and 6s in exactly the same way. Because they both have the curved glass.

The non-curved protectors literally fit the screen area only, width-wise. So, unless you line them up perfectly with the screen they won't fit perfectly.

Hi

While my iPhone does spend a lot of time in my pocket, I'm just concerned those few mm's would get scratched or marked :-s

Thanks

Unfortunately unless you buy a screen shield which is been made to specifically be edge to edge then no screen protector will cover the entire screen of the 6s or the 6.

Or buy two, put one on normally and then slice the other in the middle and spread each section right to the edge! Infact youd have to cut it in 4 to do the top and bottom aswell, would probably look rubbish though!

Hi

I could be really artistic and use two protectors and cut them into 4 jigsaw pieces. I could even get 4 different types of protectors.... The list is endless lol.

OK, I'll grad my coat lol.

Hi

I'm currently using a Lifeproof case. I protects my iPhone 100% but it's just a bit bulky lol.

Hi mate just saw a YouTube video on a screen protector and thought of you! I think this could be something that would interest you, it's called "iloome screenmate max", google it, but basically it's a screen protector that covers the whole front of the phone, including the top and bottom bezels aswell.

Hope that helps

Hi

I've ordered something similar from Second Skin. I'll fit it over the weekend.

Thanks
