It's kinda difficult to tell what time it is now though.. It stays bright to around 9:50.

It seems quite incredible that it was already near daylight this morning well before 5am early part of May. And it’s a good 1.5 months before the earliest sunrise of the year is usually supposed to happen just minutes before that near daylight of this morning I noticed.
Have sunrise and sunset times changed compared to what they used to be i.e. longer daylight hours between the Spring and Autumn equinoxes and shorter daylight hours between the Autumn and Spring equinoxes? |

Sunset today is 9:20 which is fantastic! I have to go back to Norwich next weekend for exams sunset there today is a measely 8:30.
The loss in daylight is noticeable, you wouldn't think that the British isles would have such a difference. |

The sunset here is now nearly 9:00pm however because I live in a hilly area the sun actually dips below the horizon about 20-30 mins before the official time lol. Of course it does stay light for quite awhile after the sun dissappears and even after the official time so it's not like we're losing any daylight or anything.

I had that a week ago and it's actually not that bright.. Just a very, very light blue tinge to the north.

It started going dark at 9pm last night, pretty much as soon as the sun went down, even though it was a clear sky. However, it did not go completely dark until about 11pm, which is great

Watching The Queens 90th Birthday On Itv. Interesting seeing how fast it's getting dark down there in London compared to here.

I know I was watching it and the sun was still out. They have pathetic summer day length.

In East Anglia or in Northern Ireland? There's no way in the South East that it's still light at 10pm at the moment lol.

People in England think I'm lying when I tell them about our long days.

It's only 8pm but it's getting really gloomy already. It's been a cool wet day today and we've not had much rain for awhile. I've even tested the light and it's too dark to comfortably read a book and it's fairly large print too.

You're obsessed, mate. The world turns, very predictably I might add, and it's also tilted with respect to its orbital plane. It's been like that for a while now. Deal with it.
