Roaming in USA
Hi,
Off to NYC in a couple of weeks and i'll be using my Three UK iPhone 6 out there with Feel at Home. A few friends are also coming, one in particular who uses Vodafone. As far as i'm aware, that will cost him £5 a day to use his UK allowance. My question is, we want to use our mobiles to keep in touch over there when we split up, will is cost me to ring him whilst we are both roaming and vice versa? I can't seem to find any info regarding this on either Three's or Vodafone's website. My feeling would be that since they are both UK numbers, calls/texts should be included as if we are in the UK? Can anyone shed any light?

As long as you both have roaming add ons, such as 3's feel at home or Voda's £5 per day, it's the same as being in the UK, just that 3 data will probably be very slow.

What people tend to overlook with the Three's 'Feel At Home' is that it's only calling or texting UK numbers that comes out of your regular allowance. Any 'local' calls while abroad e.g. to your hotel or a restaurant will cost the same as if you were in the UK calling abroad. In your case calling your mate's phone though the calls will come out of your allowance.

If the Vodafone phone is on a Red Value plan it will include free calls to the UK at no extra charge.
