Anyone know when the Series 9 Soundtrack album will be out?

As we are now at the penultimate episode of the series, I was wondering when, or even if a Soundtrack album will be happening for this series?

I've got all the other CDs, apart from Series 7, and the Day of the Doctor/Time of the Doctor 2 disc release.

Series 8's wasn't until May - so who knows.

I thought the music last night was very like Beethoven

The end music from Photographing Fairies

Why don't you have the S7 soundtrack, it was one of the best Murray has done? TDOTD/TTOTD has a few great tracks, but is a bit patchy.

Answering the question, spring next year I'd imagine, I assume it'll include Christmas like the S8 one did

One reason is that it didn't include this:

So upset and frustrated about that!

Wasn't even included on the 50th Anniversary, 4 CD album, either.

Talking of Series 7, yesterday I bought Issue 5 of the Complete History part work off eBay.

It features the making of three stories from Series 7 Part 2:

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship (first appearance of Brian Williams), A Town Called Mercy, and The Power of Three (featuring the first appearance of Kate Lethbridge-Stewart since Downtime).

The only difference with Kate this time, is that she is played by Jemma Redgrave and not Beverley Cressman. Not sure if Downtime is canon, but I would say so, IMO.

So, we're now well into July and still no news of series 9's soundtrack release.

I suppose they're holding it back somewhat due to the long gap before the next series.
