I fear some people wouldn't know quality drama if it whacked them on the head with a big stick. They're best off watching UK Gold with a tartan blanket and a bottle of Blue Nun.
I trust this opinion won't offend anyone. It is a discussion forum and it's what it's for after all.”

I would consider this an example of being dismissive. It certainly isn't a discussion. And though I agree with the sentiments, the people in question would be a totally different group.

Why do you up the ante with terms like "haters" and "rage"? My observation is that if someone says they don't like a particular episode, however mild and reasonable the criticism, they get responses like this. People do take it personally if DW gets criticised.
I haven't liked much about this series. That is unusual for me. I certainly don't hate it, or anyone who likes and defends it. I have no rage, although I get annoyed when I'm told I'm thick for not liking it. If I let myself descend into rage about a Saturday evening TV programme I'd take myself off for psychiatric treatment sharpish. To discuss what I don't like with people who do, or vice versa, is why I come on this forum.

. Still, think it's generally pretty rare on DS compared to some other places!
