It seems that this LCD model does not have HDMI or DVI connections with HDCP support.

For future compatibility and for use with Sky High Definition set top box, you should try to find one that supports this.

Hi rjmachin,

Thanks for the info,

It has a D-sub conector for HDef, I've not heard of this conector before, could you just use a DVi or HDMI to Dsub adapter??

Thanks

Sounds to me like the bog standard analogue VGA connector you see on the back of PC's and monitors.

You probably could get a digital to analogue convertor to use with it but far better to get a fully digital compatible display.

It does not have HDMI or DVI so does not have HDCP support. An adaptor will not help. The set has to have HDCP support through either HDMI or DVI as this is content protection for hi-def material. You cannot bypass the HDCP with any adaptors or anything else. It has to be embedded in the unit. I would keep looking for something else.
