this is the most i've looked forward to an episode since series 5/6. i just hope it doesn't get too complicated like moffat seems to like to make it these days.

Hoping this has a good kick to it after last year's all-too-safe, all-too-Pink finale.

Though I've only enjoyed two finales, so I won't hold out much hope.

Considering the promo material is showing us all those tied up enemies, has anyone mentioned yet?

Interesting stuff we will have to see where it goes next week!

.. but its on screen 2.... heaven forbid that its not being actively enough populated with drivel so far ahead of broadcast... and theres no reason at all is there to check that a thread exists before starting an identical one.

There will have to be a new competition from next week. No more 'who can start the episode thread first'.....

i imagine we will see the Christmas Special episode thread soon enough.

Whats this? the orginal thread got created so early that there was no real purpose for it yet and as such it has drifted onto page 2, then the unaware Op of this thread has come along to start the thread at a reasonable time?

Yet more evidence of the pointlessness of the 'race to start the thread' game.

Now of course, you have the weird situation where there are two 'official' threads with the same title. No one could say that this wasn't the official thread any more than the other one, and if the people who pin the threads see this one on the top page when the time comes, they may very well choose to pin this one, knocking the other into obscurity.

Would certainly make those rush to create thread type people think twice if such a thing happened.

Pleased to see this one has daylight and sunshine and colour. There's been a lot of drab on screen this year. Nice contrast to gothic castles, fantasy streets at night, bases plunged in darkness, grey dalek cities, washed out Scottish valleys etc. It can still be emotional and serious etc without actually being gloomy to look at.

so now we have a way more exciting popularity contest.... thread 1... or thread 2.... exciting.... i wonder which one will survive..
