Reasons why Live Feed IS possible for C5 with very little costs involved...

Big Brother Turkey has just started for the first time and they have 24/7 live feed. And guess what? It cost them virtually nothing. They have 2 live streams running 24/7 on Youtube. That is so easy and effortless to do, so there is nothing stopping them.

We should all try and email Ben Frow or whoever has the power to get this happening. I'd love to get Live Feed back and thought it'd never be possible but there's no way C5 can claim "it isn't feasible" after seeing BB Turkey run this with ease on their first try.

Its got nothing to do wth cost or feasibility - if it was they would just charge a fee for it ! The latest claim that they would need at least 4m viewers to consider it is clearly a deflection as they know they will never get that sort of figure and so not be at risk of having to do it ! Truth is they don't want to provide a feed as they are worried about exposing to much of what really goes on inside the house, in this ever more lltigatus era !

Have to say i quite like the BB Turkey house !

I think it's more about manipulation of the final broadcast product rather than cost or litigation.
Without a livefeed to create on ongoing timestamp the show can be edited in whatever way the production see fit including stitching together video that wasn't shot at the same time.

Exactly. They stated clearly that it was not about the cost.

Yep. Cross promotion.

What in that is a reason why Live Feed IS possible for C5 with very little costs involved?

As others have said, it's nothing to do with costs or viewing figures. The reality is that BB is no longer about reality; all manner of things happen in that studio (I wouldn't even call it a house anymore) that we don't know about and the lack of feed allows the producers to remove this content and edit everything else as they see fit. We might not even be seeing events in order upon broadcast. Re

Fair play to BB Turkey! Wish we were treated to the same.

They don't want a live feed because it's harder to cover up housemates leaving the house to attend X Factor tour rehearsals or to go to the US embassy where they can bump into friends. Or maybe they don't want us seeing that crew are sent in to 'direct' tasks.

Yes, do you remember when that happened in Jim Davidson's series? A crew member was seen holding up cue cards.

Imo, the housemates are given situations and told to improvise, just like on those structured 'reality' shows like Towie.

It's nothing to do with if they can do it, how much it costs or anything else on the planet: they just don't want to do it as they brought the programme to turn it into a manipulated reality show for the mindless, vacuous tweenies.

They don't do it because they don't want to. They are not interested in people who think otherwise as you are not the type of viewer they want and not the type they are now making the show for.

The type of audience that doesn't watch the show.

Agreed! They have ****ed up big time but their arrogance carries one and on. They brought the show to make a kiddie scripted reality show out of it and that is what they will continue to do until they finally admit that it didn't work and then just drop the show.

What sadly won't happen is that they realise their mistake and start catering for the audience they have instead of the audience they want and will never get.

A Live Feed doesn't feature in what they want to do and so it will never be brought back.

The live feed is a good idea but it's never been implemented with any care or attention. Birdsong played for minutes on end instead of switching to another less legally sensitive conversation going on inside the house. At times you'd watch the LF and hear bird noises over a conversation that you see included in the HL show edit and it's perfectly innocent.

Always seemed like it was being run by an old women who'd flip the birdsong button and then go out to make a cup of tea or doze off and forget about it.

It was still better than what we have now.

Finding it hard to make a relevant reply without knowing how its all are set up from a more technical point of view. And I really WOULD like to know.

Is there a quick reference for how the pic gets from the camera to the transmitter? Where in the chain is the birdsong button pressed? etc.

Thank you
